Does Bruce have a policy against accepting white and Hispanic football players??? Why is every single transfer into MD either black or Samoan? Do Catholic kids even play football at the school anymore?

local teams are already black balling MD and SJB, for the most part. Bosco didnt play one local team outside of conference this past season. That wasnt by choice.
Right, that's why I was saying it would be interesting to see if the other teams in league banded together and try to put them on a full freelance schedule. I can see Thomas still wanting to play both for now. Nothing in it for OLu, SM and JSerra at this point.

OLU gave up, especially firing Crawford.
Santa Margarita president doesn't care about the football team, he fired their best coach (Fisher). He is there for the HUGE paycheck.
JSerra was all in but is learning what happens when you have an entire team that has nothing invested (aka free tuition, free meals, etc...)

So that’s a step in the right direction for the rest of SoCal. Half of the Trinity isn’t trying to outduel them. MD and SJB shouldn’t be playing regular HS stick to the IMGs of the world.

Half the players leaving JSerra arent even going to the MD, Bosco, Servites of the world. Going to a much lower division program.

So i guess Rollo does take senior transfer from another Trinity League team now.
Isn't he a junior?

Has something changed with MD's schedule? I heard it was complete.

All this skirt-clutching is hilarious, all the usual suspects with every criticism under the sun...again

Just a few thoughts...

First off, Kuppcheck: a kid 4 months into his Junior year who transfers is obviously not a "Senior" transfer...

So said kid screws up (have no idea what he did, anybody?) and sits out an entire year for it, but according to some here he should be banned for his HS football life? Really? This is the same board where not too long ago a venerated old-school Trinity head coach physically assaulted a kid in the school hallway in front of multiple witnesses and was applauded. Anyone besides me need a neck brace for the whiplash?

So you're saying that kids and their families shouldn't get to decide where they play and develop their skills...are you the same guys who high-fived the Flood vs. Kuhn verdict in 1972? How did that work out for you?

Besides torchlighting and communal whine-fests, what's your alternative? As far as I know, every school wants to win and they all accept transfers, but many are all too eager to ignore those inconvenient facts to vilify others for just plain being better at it. We even went so far as to create dozens of divisions so pretty much every Johnny and Joe gets a trophy now and it's still not enough...what next?

So in lieu of any relevant, realistic ideas that acknowledge modern-day realities and the democratic free market society we live in, by all means continue your pious yearnings for those ever-receding "good old days" with your encounter-group commiserations here and elsewhere and just don't play them...like you're already not doing :2cents:

Not everyone at MD thrilled about some of these transfers in fact some returning players are pretty upset. There was a ton of chatter at the Winter Sports pep rally at school today. Players talking about potentially leaving MD. It’s the new culture Bruce has embraced chasing Negro at Bosco. No one invested in the school. It’s all about “gettin mine”.

when i refer to Ross being a "senior" transfer, I'm referring to him as a football player. He's no longer a junior "football player."

So when I asked the question about Rollo's policy of not brining in senior transfers from inside the conference, what does that mean? I'm trying to understand. I always took that as he wouldn't bring someone on who'e headed into their senior year as a "football player." Or is this the case of Dollars/Criddell where Rollo stands firm on.

Nothing more. I'm asking a question. Spare us the paragraphs

the incident Ross was in at Cathedral SD was an unfortunate one. I know the kid. He's a extremely nice kid. I was stunned to learn of the incident that caused him to have to sit out the year. It was a surprise to anyone who knew him.

There's more to the story that doesn't need to be explained. He is no thug. Just a kid that made a mistake and paid for it. It didnt cause him to lose out in recruiting. Michigan did their due diligence and felt comfortable enough to offer him. Sepulona and Tupe basically got suspended what, 5 games last year for similar incidents. Ross wouldn't have had to sit out a whole year if not for the transferring part.

I hope he balls out. Just a nasty interior linemen. I wish Bosco was getting him.

Of course he is, he won't be a senior until this school year is over.

Rollo's policy of not brining in senior transfers from inside the conference

I'm betting you have no idea what his actual policy is...and btw what "conference" are you talking about?

And now New Zealand Williams is transferring to MD.

Great pick up
I'd check the source on this one. He's headed to an LA private school.
