Why play Villa Park again?
FYI - They won't be playing Villa Park again.. Lets just say the potential scheduled being finalized will be a balanced non-league schedule. CC and two national out of state schools and two local out of county schools who contacted MD to play.

If JSerra had a QB that could make basic throws I suspect the mood would be a little different. Booty was horrible.

Not trying to defend Booty on this, but the breakdown of the JSerra offense last season was much more than Booty. Yes, he absolutely did struggle had issues dealing with pressure. That being said, the receiving corps played a role in that. The breakdown of the offense was the QB, but also an immature group of receivers that were often running the wrong route, in the wrong spot, or simply not executing their assignments. This, combined with an offensive blocking scheme that was often too complex and convoluted, let to a lot of the breakdowns. Booty definitely didn't play well, but the struggles went well beyond him.

All stuff that the right OC (Rob Johnson and Sam Baker) can fix provided the inmates had more patience.

Interesting that this wasn't happening with previous Harlow-coached teams.

I will admit that the offense looked way too predictable-no creativity.

Sounds like SM is knocking on everyone’s door and seeing who will transfer to them. Latest transfers are from Corona Centennial WR Jermey Naborne and talented WR Seven McGee. Wonder if they can get him cleared with this being his 5th school.

why would a talented wide receiver want to play in an option offense?

I believe Seven Magee is a four star running back.

Seven has multiple F's on his transcript so good luck with that, trust me education is the last thing that kid cares about. Also, SM is not running the Triple Option, even though they have a new HC they have the same OC as last year and they are going to run the spread (they have confirmed in coaches circles)...and yes SM is knocking on everyone's door...

Expect a few kids to be leaving SM soon.

Not sure how he could get into SM with questionable grades. I remember reading a poster on this board stating SM is the " Stanford " of the Trinity League. By the way, how is it you're aware of the kid's grade profile?

Not sure what comparable that poster used to make that statement or determination or claim, but it is the highest ranked school in Trinity academically according to Niche, ranked #15 followed by J Serra at #23.

he tried to come to a few schools including Mater Dei, trust me there are F's on the transcript. Honestly, that's why I thought he choose Centennial I did not think any Trinity School could take him. Let's see if SM does (I highly doubt they will) SM is a legit academic school probably the best in the Trinity league. Just because a kid wants to go somewhere or says they do does not mean it's going to happen.
