looks like Bosco found their 10th opponent. Liberty High in Vegas. Game will be played in Vegas 9/6.

So wha't their out of conference schedule? @Liberty, Don Bosco, Good Counsel, @Millani. Anyone know who's the 5th?

They had a game on week 0 with Grayson, Georgia, but that fell through according to the national board Prep Gridiron.

That would have been 5 out of state games. Nobody in Southern California wants to schedule an all-star team. Good for them...that's how to get them to moderate their behavior. Just don't schedule them.

You act like you’ve tried to get a schedule filled for Bosco before. Believe me, Bosco isn’t dodging anyone and when you start realizing that you will come to realize they can only schedule teams that WANT to play outside of league. It’s a pain in the ass getting games.

There is a downside to completely stacking your roster with recruited players and transfers. It will be hard to get games. Case in point. At some point what you are doing is so ridiculous that there’s almost no actual competition in playing anyone except for a few national programs. That’s where Bosco is.

Its absolutely going to be difficult for Bosco to schedule quality opponents.

They tried with Allen and North Shore, to be televised on ESPN. Both said nope. "maybe next year."

Well you need more information. Problem is Bosco does not take on all comers they are measured when they make their schedule. They could have played IMG last year but dodged it , then this year in their own tournament they gave MD and Jserra tougher opponents than they took on themselves. So yes it is hard to schedule games if you are MD and Bosco but not that difficult if you really challenge the toughest teams. For example I know St. Frances could not find games this year but clearly Bosco wanted no part of that as for Allen everyone that knows, knows they will be down this year.

As for local games the main reason no local teams will schedule Bosco is the blatant disrespect of running up the score on teams to pad their QB's stats as well as other players. They leave their starters in until the bitter end even when up by 50 points. That's the biggest criticism by local opponents outside of Trinity league play.

Bosco won't play IMG because of they basically compete for the same kids. So i understand why they don't want to play them.

As far as running up the score, I'll disagree. DJ threw the ball over 30 times once last season. 20 times or more in about 5 other games. One thing Bosco won't do is throw the ball to run up the score. At least last season. He averaged less than 20 throws a game. I wish he would throw more.

Jason negro is the one putting on the trinity league vs USA showcase. It’s his idea and his legwork that is why bosco is the host.
Although He did have a game finder head hunter help set up the game, travel plans, marketing etc...

Well i figured they would host since the field is the better amongst the 3 programs, but is he really in charge of the match ups? I wish they played all 3 on Saturday.

Serious question. So much trolling and sarcasm fills these threads up, i can't tell what is serious.

Yes the Trinity League classic is Bosco's deal. they are putting it on and they take most of the gate from all 3 games.
They could have played whomever they wanted. I get why the stuck MD with St. Frances but not sure why they took the easier of the 2 teams left and gave Jserra the tougher opponent. The point was St. Frances was looking for games outside of this and Bosco did not step up to that challenge. St. Frances had to find 10 games this year and had a tough time doing it even though they will travel wherever they need to in order to play.

Also as far as Bosco not playing IMG last year the reason stated in the post above is not accurate. They were challenged and did not want it, it's pretty simple, just beat those teams and then your kids have no reason to bounce there. IMG was constantly recruiting MD guys but they don't anymore. When you beat them it kind of screws up their pitch.

DeMatha is a dangerous game to open. Might be the 2nd best team they play.

DeMatha has at least 13 players with major division one offers, returns the front seven on defense and may have the best tb in America. Also their coach of 29 years, Bill McGregor, who the NFL once named the best in America, returns for this year. Previous record was 280-43 with 9 USA Top top 25 year end rankings. Only DLS had more over this time.

DeMatha has also played in CA before but it was in the late ‘70’s.

The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

According to the "game finder" aka Prepgridiron Logistics (PGL).... wanted me to share the following with you guys.

_________________________________________________
Tell them STA was supposed to originally play SJB. When STA bailed on the event for DLS, we had to do some juggling. All of us thought that Milton should play JSerra, the weakest of the three Trinity teams, to be fair. SFA had to play MD because SFA isn't flying in until Friday night.

And note that each year the event will shift to another Trinity school. In 2020, MD is hosting.

But, but, but, someone here said Negro chose the match ups and decided to choose the easier opponent and give MD the tougher one!!!

this is gonna be a tough game for SJB. A lot of new players to break in on the defensive side and MarShawn Lloyd is a beast of a running back.

This nationally televised game was supposed to be vs. Allen, TX or NorthShore but both chickened out.

MD should get the harder opponent they are back to back National Champs. They have the most coming back and the addition to their transfers MD will be in consideration for a 3-peat.
