Interesting Bishop Gorman took that game on 9/7 when Bosco has been trying to find an opponent for 9/6. BG passed real quick

Bosco’s been trying to get Gorman back on schedule for a while. They only come knocking when they have their best teams. Such BS ducking Bosco when we’re on our game.

Gorman definitely scared to schedule Bosco right now. Bosco would have offered to play at their place too. Disappointing.

Bosco still with a hole on 9/6. Nobody wants it.

Gorman isn’t going to be any better than they were last year, and last year Mater Dei could have beaten them by 70, on national TV, on their own field.

Why in damnation would Sanchez want to get running clocked upside his head again, in a road game at the nation’s #1 transfer destination?

Sanchez is smarter than that. Play the Servite Buckeyes at home instead, while they’re still (mostly) sophomores.

Looks like Bosco is only playing 9 regular season games this year. Nobody wants to schedule them.

I guess this is what happens when you're picking up players and nobody wants to get smoked or do them any favors.

Well, if MD can get 10 games, Bosco should be able to - maybe they don't want to travel out
of state as much, thus; hard finding a CALI team (south or north) that wants to play them.
It's expensive to travel out of state, sometimes the FB budget won't allow it in some years.

SJB is definitely up for traveling out of state. Texas turned them down, Florida turned them down, couple of Georgia teams turned them down.

They got DJ putting tweets out looking for an opponent. Even Coach TB is out tweets out trying to get someone. North Shore and Allen both declined a game against SJB to be played on ESPN.

SJB and MD should get used to playing out of state. Why would anyone in Southern California bother playing them? If you are Division 1, you'll likely see one of them in the playoffs. If you are anything lower than that, you definitely shouldn't bother scheduling them. Not sure what Villa Park is thinking, it's not like college football where you get a big paycheck to take a thumping.

Honestly though, do those school have to do serious fundraising to afford their players and now for 2 to 3 OOS games? Its got to be pricey. How much revenue do the teams generate versus other high level teams (CC, MV, etc.)

Bosco has 9 game currently on the schedule. Trying to find their 10th.
They are going to Georgia to play on ESPN and also going to Hawaii to play.
They are having a team from Maryland and a team from New Jersey coming into play them.
MD and JSerra are both playing similar national schedules although they both have at least 1 California
non league game on tap.
These teams are clearly setting themselves apart from the pack.

These 3 are leaving everybody in the dust.
As a parent/player you have 2 choices. Its either play College Prep football or HS football.

Bottom 3 Trinity, Corona Centennial, Mission League, Mission Viejo are all being heavily passed up.

when is that Georgia game? Week 1? Or is it week 0? I know they play Don Bosco on 8/30. Is it Milton? I thought Milton backed out of that game? They already have games scheduled for the first two weeks. And they play @JSerra in Sept. Can't imagine they are the school playing SJB.

From what i heard, the Georgia game is off

But can they sustain College Prep? Eventually, they will be without a league and without CIF. Basically, IMG. Can they maintain that and have all of the other sports remain high school level? I seriously doubt it.

No they will not be able to sustain it, dont be that guy

But IMG is an entirely different model. The Bosco/MD guys still show up to school and have a normal academic curriculum.

They will never be without a league or CIF.

The worst they will do is make an "OPEN" division but CIF knows that will create an even bigger gap for the super powers

These OOS games cost big bucks to travel, R&B, etc., the FB budget has to have well off financial donors
for this stuff, the regular school FB budget just can't sustain trips like this, year in and year out - Interesting
that the so-called hi-tier Texas/Georgia/Florida teams don't want to play Bosco with all the smack talk
they do on CALI teams.

Young JSerra (in terms of existence) is doing a number on Santa Margarita in FB,wonder what the deal
is over there with the FB program.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the MDFB when Rollinson retires, I don't see him as HC
more than a couple more years but you never know, I'm betting he will be involved in the program,
in some manner even when he decides to pull the pin as HC...

I'll say; google Mark Riddell the now ex- director of college entrance exams for IMG who has been caught up in the latest college entrance cheating scandal. Hard to believe stuff, such as: "Federal authorities allege that Riddell cheated on standardized tests by taking the SAT or ACT in place of children."

Considering the coaching change and players leaving I'm surprised they had trouble filling out the non conference schedule. Putting a team like stellar prep on your schedule is embarrassing for a Trinity League team, they were 6700 in the nation last year via Maxpreps. At least they can pile up some wins prior to the Trinity League. It will be interesting to see the competition for the bottom of the league with OLU.

That schedule shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. They were 2-8 last season. It was the worst team in schools history. Why would they schedule anyone nationally ranked? They lost half of their team to MV and JSerra and are starting almost completely over. I'm surprised that they scheduled REV.
