They have a redshirt freshman guard Amari Bailey who is already an NBA prospect. A 6’10” big headed to Arizona. And that’s not to mention the sons of NBA HOF Scottie Pippen and former #1 draft pick Kenyon Martin who are both D1 college players, or their best player Cassius Stanley who is being projected by some as a potential one and done lottery pick.
It’ll be a shock if they don’t cruise to another state title. They’ve only lost to arguably the top team/hoops factory in the country twice (Montverde Academy (FL)) and to one CA team, Rancho Christian (with two brothers who are future high NBA picks themselves) by 3.
Credit to Bosco for giving them a run in pool play, but another title should be easy work for them if they don’t lose focus.
Interesting that you picked literally one half sentence about Bosco to *itch about, in a post about SCHS. I would turn your question about reading comprehension back to you, but we already know the answer is no based upon your blind rage against anything with the word Bosco in it.

I guess USA Today had Fairfax correctly evalutated; they were unranked in Super 25 and only 9th in the Pacific region. Maxpreps computer rank had them at 5th in the nation.
Would’ve loved to see a MD-Fairfax matchup though. Monarchs should beat Centennial again, especially if Askew plays like he did against BM.
Guess not. I guess that they can take solace in winning CIF. No? They won the Trinity right?WantTheNFLBack714 wrote:looks to be another season in which the MD Boys, can win the state title but without winning a CIF section title
dont be that guy
up against a more experienced, more talented and more athletic team in SC. MD will start out as a
national top ten team next season and the year after that also...
Don't forget that Bosco put up a valiant effort against Centennial, then promptly got bounced by an MD team that they had squeaked out a win over 5 weeks earlier... also lost to Riverside Poly, Long Beach Poly, Temescal Canyon (#325... ), & Notre Dame... all lesser teams, at least on paper...FatherSonHolyHldbcks wrote:Sierra Canyon beat Bosco IN POOL PLAY by 3 points, the smallest margin of victory in 29 wins this season for California’s top team.
But next year they become a memory ( they lose I believe 4 kids ) and MD with their first 6 players returning will once again be in the top 1 or 2.
Last year MD beat Sierra Canyon, Sierra beats MD pretty even, but then all the pretenders go away.
Remember Chino Hills owned it for a while? teams come and go and have their run, but MD year after year is ALWAYS at the top.
Name a program with the success MD has had the past 30 years
He already broke the Balls (pun intended ) and with a playing background that includes Arizona and Notre Dame is primed to win over the long haul.
