Congratulations to all!

That is 6 consecutive TL titles for Servite in both soccer and golf. Impressive at any level.

Back-to-back for Servite in track, if i am not mistaken.

Not positive, but Bosco and/or MD may be on streaks in football.

Any other current consecutive titles in the TL?

I'm sure most of those schools would trade all of their league championships for the CIF Football Championship, especially Servite.

As good as MD's BB program has been, it is still first and foremost a football school.

Same with Servite-in this case BB is weak.

Pretty much applies to the whole TL-each and every one of these schools would trade whatever they win for a state Open Division football championship.

I think Santa Margarita's streak in Trinity boys' LAX is around four straight?

They might have a decent streak going in boys' swimming also.

SM's boys lacrosse streak won't last beyond the next year or two. The coach who built it (Adam Guy) is now at JSerra.

Back-to-back-to-back actually.

This discussion begins and ends with Gary McKnight who won 29 straight league titles and 35 out of the last 36 years.

And that streak is now over with his co-championship this year. That was a great run.

McKnight still won a Championship--A co-championship is still a championship!!!

Didn’t Bosco win the championship outright in Basketball?

No......MD and Bosco tied for 1st place----For playoff purposes Bosco was designated the #1 place because they
defeated MD but they were both named co-champions. MD then defeated Bosco in the CIF playoffs. Both
games were played at Bosco. J Serra defeated Bosco in League. They both ended with a 4-1 record. Next
season they are going back to the home/home regular season games.

Are you saying a co-championship is the same thing as a championship?

Ties are like kissing a sister.
Both teams rightfully claim a championship but it leaves people very dissatisfied and unfulfilled, including me. But to answer your question, a co-championship goes in the books as a championship.

True, but not the conversation I was hoping for. If i would have added “...consecutive TL titles for teams with rosters filled with recruited and/or one-and-done types?” , then you and i would be on the same page.

Five championships for Servite. Conclusive proof they are misusing the system for their own benefit with transfers and booster payment scams. A conspiracy rivaled only by the recent university scandals.

SM is more dominant in girl's swimming than in boys. MD boys had 3 consecutive league titles until last season. SM has won boys for the past two seasons.

Yeah, the CIF should investigate this.

On the flip side, what is with Mater Dei only winning two Trinity Boys' Championships? Uh-oh Watcher, I don't think MD is going to win that "Top HS Sports Program" award this year...that is unless the girls bailed them out this year?

In fact...head-to-head against Servite this school year was a disaster for the Monarchs. In twenty head-to-head contests against the Friars, Mater Dei was an embarrassingly dismal (6-12-2). :-P

What rock have you been sleeping under, since the beginning of organized sports a co-championship
is always considered in the books as a "championship", (to both teams or individuals), surprised you
would not know that, pretty basic stuff...

But, yet; Servite would trade it all for an state open FB championship!
