WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Geez domingo.

Liberalism is like an out-of-control 5 year old at McDonalds. All the talking to and admonishment won't make a difference. They have no concept of right or wrong, they are nothing more than narcissists.

On the actual MD Centennial GAME, was surprised not only by the standout performance of Soph RB Quincy Craig in his first varsity start, but by the running game of MD in general. The two other backs, juniors Marceese Yetts and Cam Leofa, looked solid in their snaps as well. Some versatile depth at that position, on the ground and with the ability to catch some balls out of the backfield.

MD started a 290lb 9th grader at RG in BJ Tolo and he held his own against a veteran DLine for the Huskies. When Donovan Ford is good to go and joins the lineup, this OL is going to be a problem for defenses. Sophomore Mosula Tapusola also got some meaningful reps with the 1st line and will help provide depth, and get some experience for next year when 4 seniors graduate.

Monarchs played a lot of Cover 1 and Cover Zero against CC, with new starting FS Nate White (committed yesterday to Penn over Harvard and Yale) as the deep safety. They played a ton of snaps in the nickel package, and as per usual Eric Johnson brought a lot of pressure whether in zone or man coverage.

The new DB corps obviously held up well, giving up no TDs through the air, forcing 3 more INTs (including LB Leutele with the Christmas Gift Pick 6) for 7 total INTs and FIVE total defensive scores in the last two games against Matt Logan. They pretty much shut out anyone not named Gary Bryant, and didn’t allow him to score. Between White, Jaylin Davies, Domani Jackson, Josh Hunter and new sophomore nickelback Cam Sidney (INT with good return yardage) it looks like the coverage is not going to slip much, if at all.

After losing a lunch table full of talent from last year’s crew — Ricks, Green-Warren, Criddell, Nimmo and Sepulona, that was an impressive performance.

They’ll surely be tested with the teams on this schedule, and it could be a long night if they let Loya go off in October like Bryant did. But there doesn’t appear to be much drop off, especially given the pressure they will likely generate up front and the aggressive overall scheme.

Eric Johnson has figured something out about the Centennial offensive system. Maybe its time CC to change a little..

More Motion
Tighten up the line splits
Run Two Backs
Use a TE

Maybe it’s time to get back to having more linemen that are over 5-11, or heavier than 250 lbs? Smallest lines I’ve ever seen from them in back to back years. And they might have been bigger this year. Also, how about more than 1 WR that can get open? Or at least one QB that doesn’t panic under the slightest pressure in a big game?

The stories about Logan overcoming talent disparities have always been overblown, he’s always had great QBs, record breaking RBs and at least one or two Power 5 caliber OLs. A lot of them transfers from other IE high schools.

At least, until the last couple of seasons that is. These last two CC teams have to be the least talented in a decade or more, since before the Vontaze Burfict and Taylor “T-Magic” Martinez days.

On defense, one of Centennial’s starting linebackers in this game was listed at 5-10 170. He’s a senior. Their best LB is a 6-0 190 lb senior, who actually laid out Kody Epps on a bobbled tunnel screen.

165 lb Gary Bryant was forced to start both ways, and four of the other DBs that played were between 155-170 lbs. Which is not that unusual for HS DBs, but it’s hard to compete against the literal big boys when more than half your defense is under 200 lbs. You dont even see that at De La Salle.

I dont think it was a matted if Eric figured out anything at all, when the greater majority to almost every player on one side of the ball is a better player then the other side, it doesnt make a difference to what scheme you run or what changes you would try, the result will be the same. MD last year and this year just has a much better team player for player then CC.

You guys are crazy and missing the main issues. For one why would Logan change his offense compete offense if it’s been working for 20+ years? Secondly it’s comes down to all the recruited players MD has. It’s pretty hard to beat a SoCal all star team when you are just a solid team. Maybe Cen10 should just stop playing MD and Bosco until CIF does something to these rules cuz if not it will be MD and Bosco for the title for years to come.

I keep hearing from elsewhere, many people expect St. Frances Academy from Baltimore, to be the team that ends the season finished at number 1 nationally.

I caught part of the St Frances game on TV this Saturday. They definitely pass the eye test as they destroyed what was supposedly a good nationally ranked team from Miami. They have athletes at every position and they remind me of IMG from past years in terms of talent across the board. One big difference from IMG is that St Frances appeared to play with discipline and ran good schemes. They will be a big test for MD.

so even if Bosco can succeed in getting their revenge on MD this season, both regular season and post-season combined, its more likely that St. Frances Academy will finish ahead of Bosco in the National Ranks, that's why I remember saying at the end of last years title game, Bosco missed their best opportunity to finish the season number 1 nationally in every or major poll, since the 2013 Bosco team didn't finish number one in every poll.

St Frances is going to be a huge test for MD. St Johns too.

Bosco is just worried about winning state. They will be happy enough with that. Natty is an added bonus if it happens.

If you were at the game and you had to see it in person was Domani Jackson coming from 10 yards behind and running
down Gary Bryant, who himself is lickity split. Not as impressive on TV. Furthermore Cenntenial use to get the big linemen they gave free housing to but like all goods things time changes everything. Players and the parents now go to the new hottest program.

So lemmme get this straight...a public school in Corona of all places had the money to pay for free housing for it's players (Big Linemen) and that was the secret of their success...and now the free housing in Santa Ana is what is drawing all the big linemen to MD? ::que::

so looks like i'm right, the 2018 season was Bosco's beast chance at winning a National Title in terms of finishing number 1 ranked in every major computer poll or majority of the polls-wise, because even Wikipedia, doesn't list the 2013 Bosco team as being National Champions.

Yawn!!!
When CC was taking anyone they wanted from the inland empire NO ONE complained, when MV was raiding every high school and stealing their best players no one complained.
Now along comes Bosco and MD doing it better than everyone one else and EVERYBODY complains.

Boo Hoo!!!

Get over it, find better facilities for these families to live in or get Mom and dad better jobs, till then you are NOT going to catch up!!!!!

 Ok well ya know what they say...just follow the money...

When your king of the Hill everyone is gunning for you...

In fairness, according to MDDad... of this years starting players only 7 are transfers and one of those was only at Servite for his Sophmore year.

So pretty remarkable when you think about it and it supports the notion that Victory breads success in that most folks want to play for a winning program and the better you are the truer that may be...

Recall what,? Logan was considered a genius, doing so much with "only ' the kids in his attendance boundaries, Johnson was a QB guru and an offensive genius, with again "only" the kids that lived in MV!

NO ONE complained to the degree we hear all day about MD!

PLEASEEEEE, Bosco and MD just caught up and recruits better, ask Bob how his last 2 playoff appearances went!

Was a running clock used???
