Ahmad Junearick of Milton rushes for 10 yard TD with 5:40 remaining 2nd quarter after about 65 yard drive.

7-0 Milton. JSerra defense looked winded there.

JSerra takes over at the 20, drive stalls again. Punts out to Milton 40. Milton picks up one first down; cannot pick up 3rd down conversion with quick out.

Milton calls timeout with 2:40 to go after lining up in punt formation. THEY THEN FAKE THE PUNT OFF TACKLE to the left, Jack Rhodes runs down the sideline for a 45 yard TOUCHDOWN. Wow, gutty call and they get it done.

14-0 Milton 2:29 remaining.

The Milton sideline EXPLODED on that touchdown, with several coaches and polo shirt guys on their sideline clapping at the JSerra sideline and shouting “laugh at that!!” Some other fan stood up and shouted “YEAH! That’s Georgia football!!”

I guess there was some laughing/taunting from the JSerra side toward these proud southerners?? Lol

Either way, JSerra takes over after another kick into the endzone.

Booty goes deep from the 20 to 6-5 sophomore Keyan Burnett, mushes the DB at the Milton 40 and makes the catch, before being tripped up down the sideline at the 18.

After working the ball inside the 10, Booty passes for a TD to Keegan Netherton; called back due to hold on RG.

Next play Booty on a corner route to Earnest McDaniel, leaping catch for TD.

Milton 14 JSerra 7. 53 seconds left 1H.

Milton backup Devin Ferrell in the game for this last drive.

Scrambles left, right, left again, then picks up 11 for a first down.

Then has WR wide open streaking past Zamajay Duncan but badly overthrows him.

Sacked by about 6 kids Fromm jSerra on 2d, 3 and 14. Rollout to the left, no one open, sacked by Siale Siliafu.

Milton punting with 14 sec left. JSerra fair catch at own 40. Booty Hail Mary Toss to McDaniel broken up. Then a weird, dumb screen call by Rescigno has to be thrown into the ground to avoid sack/interception. Should have just taken a knee to take it to the half.

Milton 14 JSerra 7.

Other than the explosive catch and run on a 50/50 ball by Burnett, JSerra could not move the rock and looked ugly on offense.

Milton has played pretty efficient on offense, just with no explosive plays. One real sustained drive which they scored on. The timeout and fake punt call was EXTREMELY ballsy call by Milton coach Adam Clack (and he enjoyed it after it worked).

But it was in a position on the field where JSerra should have expected it. That’s a game changer, and one of those “key coaching moments” I was talking about. That could end up winning this game, especially the way the JSerra offense is looking.

Additional Panish Stadium evaluation:

The sound system here CLEARLY works, but the DJ/soundboard guy needs to get his hearing tested IMMEDIATELY. And it’s also interesting to hear the difference in playlist between the Bosco game last night and this Beach Boys/Journey BS that’s making my ear drums bleed right now.

Maybe twist that volume button to the left a bit, and take Jim from Hermosa off the 1s and 2s.

Just realized Milton is missing one if it’s best players, TE/DE Jack Nickel. In street clothes on the sideline.

Milton to receive 2nd half kick here.

Jackson Weaver back in at QB. Junearick rushes right, taken down for loss by Riverside transfer Wendell Moe. Quick out to left quickly pushed out of bounds by Carson transfer New Zealand Williams. Fade ball to the left rushed by Malaki Teo. For having a Clemson commit and size on the line, Milton does not protect well.

"if judging by recruiting stars and college commitments, the Panthers are superior."

That's what the MaxPreps article said about the tonights game between MD and St. Frances Academy, but of course, we will have to wait and see if St. Frances can upset MD or not.

JSerra (I think McDaniel) muffs a beautiful punt, Milton falls RIGHT OVER THE TOP of the ball and can’t recover. JSerra scrambles back to get it at about the 20. HUGE missed opportunity there for Milton to possibly take control of this one.

9:30 left 3Q.

JSerra starts with a nice crossing route to Chris Street our of the slot, picks up a first down after breaking a couple tackles. Milton Clemson commit OL Paul Tchio also playing DT here. Tough for a big guy to go both ways in this heat.

JSerra picks 3d and short, followed by a couple Sammy Green carries for another 1D. Looks like Lions coaching staff is committing to pounding the rock to start this half.

Back to Green off tackle, Milton’s Stephen Michaels busts him down hard with a couple uncalled late hits. Milton coaching staff loves it lol. Quick out to giant soph WR Keyan Burnett, tackled short of sticks. 3rd and 1. Booty sneaks his booty past the marker for another 1D. Lions best drive of the day.

Toss right side picks up about 25, down to the 17. Green running harder here than Chris Street has all game. Lions then toss to Street on 1d and gets busted down almost immediately by Tchio, who looks huge at DT. Lions going split backs here out of the shotgun with 3WR.

Fade ball to McDaniel inaccurate and incomplete on 2d. 3d and 10 from the 17. Play action pass fools no one, no one open on 3 man route, Booty lobs a wish and a prayer to the corner of the endzone to Burnett, caught out of bounds.

34 yard FG attempt somehow comes up short. Lions may have the worst kicker in the Trinity and the best punter. Not sure if it’s the same kid but that’s Weird.

4:30 left 3Q, Milton takes over at own 20.

After two unsuccessful runs, Milton RB Jordan McDonald runs a draw up the middle for 20 and trucks New Zealand Williams to finish it. 1st down Milton.

Deep pass down the sideline had Zamajay Duncan beat, but he catches up and breaks up the pass beautifully. On 3rd down, Eagles give a lead up the middle back to Jordan McDonald who picks up the first. That OL leaning on the Lions a bit here.

Sack on 1d by Lions, I believe Mariboho and Suliafu. malaki Teo is in the Milton backfield almost every play. Reminding me of an old Notre Dame linebacker, can’t remember the name.

Devin Ferrell back in for Milton at QB. 2nd and 17 pass dropped past the first down by Milton. 3rd down keeper for Milton tackles for loss by .... Malaki Teo. Kid looks like BEAST today. Suliafu is in the backfield today almost as much. 53 and 9 definitely having the best games of their career. End of 3rd. Milton still up 14-7.

Milton punts and JSerra will take over with 11:49 left at own 11. They need a long drive here to tie it up and get some confidence.

JSerra quick drive, punts deep into Milton territory. Milton then throws interception on deep 3d down to NZ Williams on leaping spectacular catch.

JSerra then yanks Booty OUT and inserts Garrett Williams, who promptly leads a a TD drive, capped by Street Run.

14 all, 7m left. This just became a ballgame.

JSerra stops Milton on 3d and 1 stuff by of course Malaki Teo. Then Milton goes for it on 4th Ill advised and Lions stuff it. Huge play, sideline is juiced.

JSerra takes over at Milton 29, can’t move the ball, but kicks 30 yard FG. 17-14 Lions with 2:20 left

Milton will have to have long drive here

Milton puts Ferrell in to lead last drive with 3 timeouts. Completes 2 balls, then scrambles across midfield down inside the Lions 25.

Milton mismanaged the clock, QB scrambles out of the pocket, times winds down to 10 seconds before they take their first time out. Malaki Teo then makes his 59th play of the game, tackles Ferrell back at the 45 or so.

Then Milton puts in #18 in for a Hail Mary and he is tackled and fumbles when hit by guess who ... MALAKI TEO. Game over.

T’eo looked like a future pro in this game.

JSerra wins 17-14. That turned out to be a great game. Milton threw this one away, but what a gutty comeback from true Lions. Good for Harlow.

SFA takes field in warmups and sounds fired up. MD takes field second, does their traditional walkout and barks across the field.

Getting the beef sparked off a little early. I love it. Bully v Bully!

This one is hard to call until we see how these teams REACT. Mater Dei has not seen a defense like this. saint Frances has not seen an offense like this.

SFA has not been tested since IMG 3 years ago. Mater Dei has played he best of the best in the last 3 years.

Penalties (and terrible officiating) were a HUGE factor in the IMG game last year. How will this game be officiated?

Will SFA’s Soph QB be able to pass on this MD secondary when needed? Will Bryce feel the what from SFA’s future all-SEC D Line?

Turnovers. Special teams. Trick plays?

So many factors.

I’ll take MD in a close one, but only because they’ve been in this type of game recently and come out on top. And because I’m 2-2 on the TL v USA predictions lol

SFA Ball first. Quick 3 and out, great tackle in flat by Davies on Michigan bound RB Corum who is a LOAD. Might be the first time SFA Shaw been sent 3 and out on first drive in years.

SFA punts to MD 40. Bryce scrambles for 15, followed by another scramble, SFA PULLS HIS HELMET OFF, but refs make him sub. Selinsky in next play, Craig fumbles when rocked by #75, 350 lb DT. SFA recovers. Big turn of events with the Bryce helmet issue. Turnover early for MD.

SFA attempts to throw deep on Domani Jackson. They must not know the kid runs a legit 4.3 lol. Incomplete. Corum Run off tackle, smacked in the mouth. Not thinking SFA OL has seen a defense that can do that. Third down scramble by QB chopped down by Sidney short of sticks. SFA in punt formation.

Punt down to the 1. Big special teams play for SFA. That flips the field. 7:05 left 1Q.

First down throw under pressure from Bryce to Zamora. SFA then smacks Zamora after catch on a hard tackle to force 3rd down. Bryce stares down the rush to fire a 3d ball
To Epps for a sliding catch for 20.

Bryce then fires a strike to CJ Williams who is ROCKED by # 6 on a legal blow. Wow, SFA IS STRIKING KIDS OUT HERE. Bryce then hits Christian Dixon on a skinny post for 20 more down to the 25, rocked by SFA safety LSU commit Toles. First down.

This game is INTENSE. Whew. 4m left, timeout SFA.

Bryce is still playing out of his mind. another strike to Epps down to the one. ROCKED again, by Oregon commit Hill. Bryce catches bad snap with one hand, then dives in off the edge for one yard TD.

Monarchs up 7-0 3:10 left 1q

11 plays 99 yard drive. 3:57 seconds. That’s demoralizing for a defense that gave up 32 points in 10 GAMES last season.

Corum runs from the 20 outside and is smacked by Davies and Fuamatu in the flat. Followed by 2 Incompletions Aimed at Domani Jackson. He’s not having it tonight.

SFA shanks punt out to the 40.

Bryce getting silly now, shovels one to Cam Leofa after being chased out of pocket, down to the 18 or so.

Quick pass to the 12, then Bryce drops back, sees no one open, skates into the endzone.

14-0 Monarchs. :53 left. 43 yards, 1:19.

Panthers have been hit in the MOUTH, Mike Tyson style. As predicted. Hasnt happened to them in years. They look deflated. The MD band is playing. The alums are grinning. How will they respond?

SFA runs 3 times with Corum. Fumbles when hit by his own man. Recovers itZ

End of first quarter, MD 14 SFA 0.

Corum hard run for first down, then a swing pass like we saw against Miami Central. Wide open running past Neeley, down to the 25 or so. Then runs off right tackle down to the 1 with no resistance, knocked out at 2 by Jackson on incredible effort.

2 plays later Osman Savage runs in off right tackle not touched. Big answer on that drive by SFA. They needed that. Their fans were even looking worried.

Point after Blocked by Leutele. MD’s 3rd blocked EP this season. That could be big.

8 plays 80 yard drive, 2:23. 14-6 MD. 10:30

Here comes Bryce

MD penalty on the KO return, then false start. Can’t have that. Staring at 15.

Bryce another laser out to Epps to the 30. Then a small scramble follows by conversion throw to Williams, and another to Epps our past midfield. SURGICAL.

SFA knocks down Bryce second incompletion of the game to force 3rd down. Craig tackled on 3rd and 1 for no gain. monarchs will go for it. Craig up the middle again on zone run, stuffed by SFA’s humongous line, measurement on the spot ... First down MD. Big conversion, gutty midfield call by Money and Rollo. 6:59 left 1H.

Bryce scrambles out of the pocket for 20, rocked out of bounds by #4 , on purpose, blows a kiss at Bryce after they throw the flag lol. Wow. Poggi goes nuts at his player for dumb play.

Ball at SFA 11. Incomplete pass PI flag thrown. Waved off. Incomplete pass, followed by 3rd down fumble in pocket by Bryce. SFA RECOVERS. Another MD turnover, this one in the red zone. Was Bryce shaken by that dirty late hit? Costs MD points.

SFA ball, 6:24 left. 15 yard line
