PTG,
Yes, LH is the udawgs. Should they be, with win over Upland , and margins vs Calabasas and MV?
CDM beat San Clemente, and crushed everyone else theyve played. CDM has some players, La Habra has some players, Grace and Alemany has some players. CDM 4 in OC, LH 6 in OC.
LH will have a tough road, CAPO, EDISON, GRACE, CDM.
Game should be played at the new pit, state of the art. If it gets that far.?
I just hope if a CDM VS LH game is played, isnt a re peat of a Connor Manning ET vs LH back in the day, when they racked up 700 yards of offense. Defense wins championships, and CP3 vs Humphries would be a great matchup, like CP3 vs Johnnie Wilson, AND Michah Pittman of Calabasas was.
****** rumors on social media flying around, that #1 QB OF 2020 Jake Garcia, / Narbonne, may be headed to La Habra HS, where he played youth ball. 6'3 185 lbs, committed to USC.?
Lets see if there are any sightings or more on twitter.
Its go time! :mex:

A Edison vs La Habra rematch of the double OT loss, a few years back. would be a good one.
Edison is a solid team, but just like that year, LH had more but Edison prevailed.? Hopefully LH goaline run O, is in better shape now, and provides some lead blocking.
Payback for La Habra in this one?? Assuming both teams win this week.
Dark horses for D-3
Paraclete vs Alemany, coach Herrington might have a little chip on his shoulder in this one.
Paraclete a team to watch. As is, Tesoro, 8-2., As is St. Francis 8-2

SJ60-
Yes sir, i see that , thats why previously i predicted a 4 touchdown win for the clan!
Capo is a at large team, so i would hope a 4 TD minimum, if we plan to be in the ship.
We should be well oiled, precision, and precise. Penalties, delay of games and personal fouls should be cleaned up after a 5 week rest. Its time to make a run, and get to that LH vs CDM game! :mex:

Capo QB not terribly accurate and not mobile. Haley makes things happen. As long as CP3 shuts Haley down, It'll likely be a goose egg (unless something happens in garbage time).

La Habra vs Edison is shaping up to be pretty good.
La Habra has beat Upland, played Calabasas to a close one, and played Mission Viejo to their closest game this year.
Last week , La Habra took on at large Capo Valley, and won 42-3, but had 3 interceptions leading to 21 points, 2 pick 6 's. They say Defense wins championships, but if La Habra wants to get by Edison or anyone else from here on out, they better get the offense in gear too.
Edison QB (Boyles) threw for 323 yards and 4 TD'S vs Heritage. winning , 42-27.
Edison can run the ball, and they have multiple physical backs, but Walters at 6'2 225 leads the way.
Edison is well balanced, well coached, and well prepared.

Played San Clemente to a 28-21 loss
Played OLU TO A 17-14 loss
Got hammered by CDM 42-7
Over the last 4 weeks Edison has averaged 49 points while giving up 14, in the sunset league / playoffs.
8-3 record.
Safe to say this will be competitve?

La Habra needs to at least beat Edison 42-7, in another convincing win to, have a chance vs CDM.
Low percentage passes, w/ a lacking run game wont move the chains, or get points vs quality opponents.
La Habra is 9-2 and has averaged 46 points in 4 weeks and given up 5 points, in the freeway league.
They are 445 point scored this year and given up 148 on the year,
This is the part of the year where it counts most. All those practices, and offseason weights.
Film work.
Friday night at the pit will be :steam: , get there early, and be ready for some fireworks.
This is two of Orange County's storied programs and im sure will be down to the wire?????
Lets get it on!!!!! :mex:

I guess if Steve Fryer picks La Habra to win 17-14 over Edison this week, i will have to go with that.
He is 87-23 overall on picks this year. Point spread might be a liitle more than that though.
Maybe like 35-14? LH

Calpreps computer has La Habra 35-27

I could see that too bongo. Its gonna be a good one.
Not jumping ahead, but whoever gets Grace Brethren, im assuming who will handle Lawndale,
Grace is big upfront, physical, rushing the ball with 2 1000 yard rushers, a thunder and lightning combo, and a wr who is over 1000 yards too. Big , Physical. A 43 man roster , so guys are tired going both ways, but they have knocked off some solid teams, in OAKS Christian, and Muir, Camarillo, westlake, tough loss to sierra canyon 13-7. The team who has scored the most was Westlake on Grace. 35 and 38 points, with their air raid O., Unfortunatly for them, they couldnt play any defense.
Grace will be a tough one! Kind of reminds me of a Mission Viejo.
Grace has 45 sacks and 17 ints on defense.

Well since you brought up GB, I checked the Calpreps computer again:

Neutral field:
Grace Brethren 31 La Habra 30

wow

Wow, is right Bongo.Cal preps got this one perfect. 35-27 vs Edison
Now 31-30 vs Grace?? Thats a heart breaker. Where will this game be played?
If La Habra want it to be that close, they better start covering someone on defense,
Besides Clark Phillips, guys were toast. Luckily , Grace is a run first team, with a below average passing QB.

So does that mean its at Grace?
It looks like its 2 OC teams, vs two westside teams.
These semi's , anything can happen. as predicted, in the final 4
CDM- ALEMANY
La Habra - Grace Brethren

LH-10-2 vs Grace 11-1
PF 480 / PA 175 / PF 481 / PA 221
Law of averages.. per game
RUSHING -LH- 80.5 VS GRACE - 260.5
PASSING - LH - 257.6 VS GRACE 149.2
TOTAL YARDS LH - 338 VS GRACE 409
La Habra has had a problem keeping the foot on the throat of opponents, and not finishing.
They do start fast, but against Grace, the Clan will need 4 quarters of football.
Fix the penalty problems.
Grace seems to be a second half team, as they close good.
A run first mentality, and physical style of defense, this will be a huge challenge.
Special teams seems to be the thing, or clark phillips return ability, seems to be the difference right now.
La Habra will be dealing with a team alot like Mission Viejo, two good running backs, a physical Oline,
and a QB who is more of a threat to run than throw. Grace D IS SUSPECT ??. How does Westlake put up
30 + points twice in one year on them? Now Lawndale taking it to the wire.
As Bongo says, Cal preps has Grace winning 31-30 shootout.? could be reversed? Who's gonna finish?
Discipline ? Execution? All three phases! It all goes back to off season, the little things, attitude,
that could get you the win in a OT game? Preperation, and guys who work, not pretend. Its about being about it, not talking about it now.

CDM VS ALEMANY
This should be a good one. Alemany is talented, has a solid QB, and skill guys.
but the close game vs Paraclete has me taking CDM BY 14.
CDM- too much fire power, and has played solid Defense.

HTL,

Cdm needs to get past Cajon tonight! They should by a few TD’s but they have some athletes and have been one of the most successful teams in the state the last three years! They plan man up on D and bring 6-7 which could be tough on them with matchup problems on Humphreys and Redman.

Should Cdm win, they will be traveling to Mission Hills to play Alemany in the Semi’s. Will be an extremely tough challenge. Remember Paraclete lost 24-20 to Sierra Canyon in week 10 so don’t let the Alemany/Paraclete score fool you. In my opinion, the winner of Cdm/Alemany (should Cdm beat Cajon tonight) will win the D3 championship.

no doubt cdm is head and shoulders above everyone else. I mean, they would probably give MD a tough game. Alemany is tough but not as tough as Calabasas who got leveled by Bosco last night.
Servite almost beat Bosco, and lost to Mission Viejo, where La Habra played a 23-6 game, losing to MV.
It will tell me alot about CDM after the Alemany game. No doubt, they will beat Cajon tonight. Cajon is a shell of what they were a year ago with Jayden Daniels.
Still hoping a all Orange County finals will take place in D-3, where we can see two teams with alot of championships between them. Lets go OC, handle the valley boys.
