Game over: Servite 34 JSerra 21.

Big win for Servite as a team and as a program.

JSerra disappointing results the last two weeks, without a doubt. Lions cannot compete with this offense as it is, the defense missed a ton of tackles tonight, and they had some killer penalties. Harlow not happy AT ALL with the effort:

Fifita 23-36 for 270 yards, with 4 TD passes to 4 different kids. Decisive, mostly accurate, threw the ball to all levels of the field. Ran for a TD on a 4th down before the half, had key first down scrambles, showed the composure and command of a senior, and just played like a star. He still has a lot of room for growth (figuratively and literally) but he really impressed tonight.

McMillan struggled last week with Mater Dei’s Domani Jackson in his grill all night, but he abused Bosco and JSerra’s DBs. He is a DUDE who can do things like this with ease:

(only complaints with him are to play to the whistle when he doesn’t get the ball, and cut out the whining to the refs after nearly every incompletion or pass breakup by a DB)

The Friars had some more special teams blunders, but allowed no sacks and forced 3 turnovers, and closed out the game very well in the last 10 minutes or so — on both sides of the ball. Good clock management by T Bone, give the man credit.

Friars move closer to solid D1 playoff position and into drivers seat for TL 3rd Place (keeping it all the way real — this win clinched D1 and 3rd Place unless Servite fumbles it all away in the next two weeks as a heavy favorite).

Servite beat a good team right there. Troy T, says you go to Servite to be the best.
Those kids are buying in! It reminded me of a Cody Fajardo led team, as the Servite QB can run, and hit multiple receivers. They are tough, and play Defense, tough up front too!
The played Bosco to a 1 point game, and beat a solid Jserra team.
Id say Thomas has the Friars headed in the right direction. Energy!!!!! Leading by example, and hard work that pays off.
While others pretend, the Friars are kicking doors in. They will need to finish now, and ride high into the playoffs.

Would not be surprised to see JSerra falter from here on out.

They really do need to find a QB. Booty isnt it and he can feel the lack of confidence coming towards him from that program. I almost feel bad for him. His family pushes him so hard. Probably hates football because of them.

Expected win by Servite. I truly hope we get a Bosco/Servite round 2 so Bosco can make it right.

1 week 10 hours and 12 minutes away...............

I see the same. Kid looks shaky; wouldn't be surprised if he's at another school in 2020 (or at the least there is an open QB competition).

Parents matter.... was in the stands and have never heard so much whining and expertise on how to coach or manage a game - do these parents even enjoy watching their kids play?... huge trickle down affect to the kids and how they approach practice and the game.... not much of a football family pretty much a bunch of "I"'s.....

That is the most accurate statement about Jserra. Not ALL but MOST of those transfer kids are "I' guys down there and unfortunately it starts with their super stars as long as they get theirs not sure winning matters that much but when they don't get their touches , and they loose, well now we got a problem. Can't win with guys like that. Across the board and on paper Jserra has more talent than Servite but Servite is a team that fights together no matter what and that was the difference.I could see them crumble as well now, not enough guys with heart down there....

Couldn't agree more with the OC Urban Legend, You can't, in one off season, bring in a bunch of guys from other programs that only care about the number of offers they can list on their twitter accounts and expect them to play and win like a team. I would not be surprised to see Booty back at CDM next season.

I CAN CONFIRM lol

It wasn’t everyone, but was one of those “vocal minority” situations. The environment in the JSerra football family seemed to be getting a bit spicy last night, especially when they had the ball ...

Oc urban legend, on point!!!
These guys don't care about family and winning, touches and stats. But who allows it??? Too many chiefs not enough Indians.

Well, they will probably try to hire Urban Meyer if they run Harlow out of town.

Maybe not the best Senior Night opponent for SM, but they can’t control the scheduling ...

All American Bowl (sponsored by I think Adidas now, and not the Army) held ceremonies at MD this week for Myles Murao and Bryce Young.

Very good kids, good for them. Looking forward to seeing them rep the West in the game in January. Will Bryce will throw a TD pass and then yell “THATS CALI BALL!!” at some kid from the East? lol

That’s 4 out of 5 years with All American Bowl selections for MD I believe, dating back to Ben Humphreys

Former SM state champ and star QB Johnny Stanton aka Johnny Tebow, went from coaching the Eagles frosh to getting drafted this week by the LA XFL squad. Good for him, and for Vince McMahon.

Didn’t realize SM running back Nick Barcelos committed to Nevada last week. Good for him. Strong kid.

Tetairoa McMillan catch went viral, made it all the way to ESPN and SC Top 10 (via Who’s Next):
