Playoff Home Games?

Post by TripleB » Sun Nov 03, 2019 12:59 pm

So I understand the top four seeds in each division are guaranteed home playoff games. What is the formula for the other games in the first round?

And what is the formula for successive rounds? Let’s say 2 home teams won in the first round (or even two away teams) and they then face each other in the second round, how do they decide who is the home team? A coin flip?

And what if there is a difference (a team wins at home and plays a team that won on the road), is it still the team who hasn’t had as many home games get to host?

Would love to see a definitive explanation. Curious if both CdM and La Habra get to the semis who would likely have a home game.

second round depends if you had a home game already then they do coin flips for a million other possibilities.

I saw the link for D2-14 coin flips. Is it just me or have they not done D1 yet?

The flip of the coin this year finally goes CDM's way. Being the #1 seed and losing CIF Final coin flips in 2016 and 2018 was extremely frustrating..., this year the odds went the Sea Kings way.

Last year they didn't score a point after the middle of the 2nd quarter, they didn't deserve to win wherever the game was played
