You've seen Amon-Ra St. Brown, Kyle Ford, Bru McCoy, and even Tetairoa McMillan and think he's better? Better than Rhema McKnight? A great debate for sure.

A great player, but I don't think he's in the same realm as those above.

Indeed, because if he ended up with similar numbers then he would have done it against arguably the toughest schedule in the nation.

TMac being mentioned as a great? Lets calm down. I'm as big a TMac fan as their is, but lets relax putting him up there as guys possible better than Humprey

He was the #1 receiver chosen to be on the Sophomore All American Team. He's also the #1 receiver prospect in the class of 2022. If that doesn't get you in the conversation then I don't know what does.

absolutely, he's phenomenal. But you can't discuss him as being better than Humphrey at the moment. Thats disrespectful. Do I think he eventually will be? Sure. He's as talented as they come. Talent is on the level of a Amon-Ra, for example. But he's just a sophomore and still has 2 years to prove it.

Humphrey just put up 110 catches, 2000 yards and 32 td's. Lets let him enjoy his place in the all time greats list.

Again, this isn't about projecting who's going to be better.

No argument I guess with the first 3 names he listed

All 3 of those guys were/are great receivers! Great cases could be made for each of them, especially Bru (great all-around football player!). We'll never know how Humphreys would've performed in the Trinity league. It is my meager opinion that he would've been outstanding. If the kid stays healthy he will have a long pro career if he decides to go down that road.

Humphrey absolutely would have been great in the Trinity League.

6'5 and 205lbs with good speed will work just about anywhere in high school.

I agree with Kupp. T-Mac has 65 catches for 850 yards and 12 TD's IN HIS CAREER. That probably doesn't put him in the top 200 of Orange County receivers. In a conversation about potential, he may be the #1 guy. But on a list of all-time great county receivers based on what they accomplished, to mention him among the top guys is insulting.

I doubt anyone is insulted by his name being mentioned. He has two more years, and we'll get to find out.

Quincy Craig has two more years as well, but I wouldn't put him in the conversation of the three or four greatest running backs in county history. Doing so, as with T-Mac, is just pure homerism.

I'm not putting him in there. I'm not putting Humphreys in there either.

Bongo. Great Times archive. Brought back great memories.
Can anyone tell me how many transfers their are among that group? I know Kerwin Bell and his brother Dino (a DB, who with future Trojan Duane Jackson, were as good as any on the list) transferred from St. Francis.

A different time for sure...

Memories: DB Garry Templeton (SAV '73) "allowed only one receiver to catch a ball against him in man-to-man coverage in two years."

Gonna have to disagree, respectfully. Perry basically played only 2 seasons, missing 8 games his Junior year after he blew up his knee against Ramona, but he's still 2nd on the list of all-time leading WRs, trailing St. Brown by only 118 yds...

Not that I need to point this out, but the style MD played then was entirely different, based mainly on a productive & vicious running game anchored by first Bodnar, then McNair, & an effective passing game helmed by Flynn, & then Stremick. The fact that he missed nearly an entire season, & STILL put up those kind of #s (143 catches, 2804yds, 19.61 avg), he should absolutely be included, maybe not at the top, but at least in the conversation...

Yeah, you're probably right. Not even based on stats, just on talent. He's a top 10.

I've had so much entertainment following this..., third bag of popcorn. Starting to realize most of you don't get to too many games.... actual games. And now to read you are putting up players whom have barely played at all as the ALL time greats...... calling Orville Redenbacker!
