these hires will make it a lot easier to get the QB situation straightened out. Adequate QB play last season would have won the SJR and Servite games.

seems JSerra keeps throwing Benji's out at every opportunity thinking they can set up shop and buy a team and be elite over-night? honestly smaller privates like Sierra Canyon, Alemany and Grace Brethren are doing it better.

I suspect these hires may slow down some of those thoughts.

Great hires! South county power grab. Once a trojan, .....
I'm sure Booty will and has been training, getting coached up with Rob J.
Anyone knows, on offense, it all starts with the Oline, and a strong run game. Baker is the guy for that.
Rob will work the play action, sprint outs, and route tree for the pass game. Chad Johnson has to be pissing himself about now? Why wouldnt some of those talented kids at MV, who might be getting overlooked, or barley touching the ball, not leave for Jserra AND THAT STAFF.? I would love to see a MV VS SERVITE and MV VS jserra pre season game. MV is stacked this year, no doubt about it.

The size of the supposed "exodus" is greatly exaggerated-- many who were "out the door" are not out the door and have re-committed. Some of the players that are leaving will have to be replaced, and some are very replaceable. The bottom line is this: culture is critical for a good team and the program will benefit from this exodus in the long run. Depth may be an issue next season, but culture won't.

That’ll be the answer to all their problems. A coaches name or pedigree ain’t gonna change the talent level one iota. Did someone infer that the QB played poorly because of coaching? Please, be more specific. Was it poor fundamentals? Decision making?
Robs a good dude, not as big a phallus as his dad and brother, but Bret is the best coach in the family. They should have gone after him.
But it’s all about the kids, the talent. What will be the excuse when they don’t have success in the Trinity again (a very good bet)?
Trying to recreate that old USC magic aura... while I’m sure they’re both capable coaches, I suspect nothing will change until they build a bullet train from the IE to the coast.

The " exodus" is a good thing... because the parents went too.... a lot of "I's" in the stands last year, and it all trickled down to the locker room... glad to see the Coaching upgrades too...

Jserra getting hit hard with transfers heading out. Booty is gone, headed back to Texas. Sammy Green has moved to Huntington Beach High School taking at least three teammates with him. New Zealand Williams and Ross Maseuli to Mater Dei. Keyam Burnett and a few others headed to Servite. Not sure about Zamajay Duncan but heard he is also moving on.

Duncan is going to HB I'm hearing.

Also heard Booty was going to CDM. But who knows with the Booty's.

2002 Tony-
Yes!!1 That will be a great matchup. I dont think MV and LH are going to continue the contract.
Servite is up and coming with a good underclass. I think the Diablos will get them this year, but after this year, the Diablos are in some real trouble. This senior class at MV can make another run. Thomas has servite rolling again., so it will be a battle. a physical battle!

New Zealand Williams landed at St. Bernard.
What is the primary reason for all the players leaving JSerra? Is it Harlow? Something deeper? Did something happen within the administration where there was a decision from the top above Harlow to ‘cleanse’ themselves, exit the arms race, and return to a ‘normal’ high school team?

Trinity might have to adopt something like what the Sunset did with most sports and have divisions “Surf” and “Wave”..... if a school in Trinity gives up the arms race why even play, JS, SM, and OLU will be asking kids to suit up for humiliation games within their own league at present. Not exactly a great recruiting tool in a recruiting league....

Maybe name the two newly created leagues the “Holy” and “Holier Than Thou” divisions.... ROFL ROFL

Bret has no desire to coach right now. Spends his time going up to watch and help his son at Davis, and just spends more time with other family enjoyments.
