MD has been back on campus for a month. I have not heard of any "outbreaks" on campus and the MD Admin text, email, call and send smoke signals for even minor announcements. They split the kids 1/2 in a.m. and the other 1/2 in the p.m.

So glad I don't have to deal with the ********** that the public districts are going thru.

It doesn't really matter what the tiers say now. Newsom has already shown he will move the goalposts for the "tiers" at will. My personal favorite "science" based metric that was added in version 3 of our get out of time out is the Health Equity Quartile. I wonder how many nuts jobs it took to come up with that gem of liberal drivel.

our local district has a bunch of vocal remote only parents and the rest want them to go back to in person. There is a remote option, but, it's not the same teachers. So, the parents want the school to accommodate them and set up webcams, etc to "stream" the teachers class, so, they keep the same teacher. Apparently they think you just need to buy a webcam and input the WiFi and it's that easy.
