Well...if a neighbor decides to physically attack him again, I'm guessing that Libertarian might exercise his 2nd Amendment rights and bring an equalizer next time.

Or he could do what civilized folks do and call the people whose job it is to shoot people.

Interesting that he attacked a US Senator and only got charged with misdemeanor assault.

Doesn't believe there should be rules. Moves to a neighborhood that has rules he agreed to when he moved there .

Are you suggesting it's more "civilized" to wait until you're a victim, and less civilized to defend yourself?

Yes. Are you suggesting that death is a just penalty for tackling your neighbor?

Similar incident in Oklahoma City yesterday. Police were chasing some idiot in a car and a "good guy with a gun" in another car took a few shots at the guy's tires. Cops can't do that ("due process" and "endangering innocent bystanders" and all that rubbish). Right or wrong?

Oh, it gets even better! The good guy with a gun was a preacher.

If he comes onto my property and assaults me, most definitely. My hope would be that he knows I've got a weapon and am fully prepared to defend myself, and wouldn't actually have to. I think that's called a deterrent.

Also think that's just a little different than shooting tires on a public street.

Along the lines of the point of this thread, the ever growing differences between left and right are becoming clearer. It seems the left is more about spot-lighting the latest victim, displaying whatever outrage, and demanding change. The right seems more about not becoming a victim in the first place.

You didn't just pull out the "if more actresses/singers/swimmers/gymnasts/lab assistants/14 year-old girls carried guns" argument, did you?

Nope. Just the "you want some one to take care of you, and I'll take care of myself" argument.

You would have a point were it not for the fact the right throws down the victim card faster than anyone.
They told me if I voted for Hillary Clinton the president would be emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable. They were right. I voted for Hillary Clinton and got a president that is emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable.

I'd start with a fence, first.

A fence is probably against the HOA rules. But, hey, he's a Libertarian. **** rules! And his neighbor should do the same in his assault defense. It's Kentucky. Your God-given right to tackle your neighbor was the kind of principle the place was founded on. Individual liberty and all, don't ya know.

Is KY a "stand your ground" state? Could be a factor.

Trump's been trying to tell you that for three years.
