Extreme slowness on Verizon

I'm not sure if other people are getting it, but,

Traceroute from home:

16 79 ms 79 ms 78 ms apache2-linus.richard-dobbs.dreamhost.com [66.33.210.197]

Trace complete.
I'm not sure what the missing hops are but it seems some hub Verizon goes through has been having trouble since some time yesterday. Irritating.

I'm on Verizon.. I can get faster response from Bangkok or Slovakia than OC forums... --:--

It seems to be the route it takes. Some sites are fast, others are painfully slow. This site works fine on my phone.

scorestream really slows down the response time... It has to reload between posts and pages.. --:--
Could you fix it to work only in the sports section??

The scoreboard runs in an i-frame (i.e. it isn't really part of the page), so it shouldn't affect load time at all. MOF, it usually loads before parts of the page for me. Same with the ads. They do affect refresh and forwarding times though, like after you post. Just click the link if you don't want to wait.

My connection is even slower than last night. I'm getting 5 time-outs on my traceroutes now and pages aren't loading at all at times. Crossing my fingers on hitting the submit button..
