World Series

Post by oceanvue »

Good game tonight a NL style pitching duel. Usually I root for the American League because of the Angels but I think I like the Red Birds this year although my first pick would have been Detroit. I think it's going to be a great series

Marc Rzepczynski had 2 strikeouts of right-handed hitters in the 7th inning: He had previously faced 14 batters who were hitting from right side of plate in postseason, had only one strikeout. He had 2 to end the 7th inning.

I knew the red team was going to beat the blue team because the game was being broadcast on FOX with their right wing slanted journalism

Nice to see Skip Schumaker from Aliso Niguel get in the game. Is it possible the cold weather in St. Louis cooled-off the Rangers' hot bats?

Another great game. 2-1 won with two sac. flies in the top of the ninth and stellar base running. This is going to be a great series

Boring series....I opted for CLOSER re-runs. I want Texas to win. It's a family thing.

My bride loves the show. I like Lt. Provenza and Flynn.

It really is a fun show to watch.....Brenda is eating crow this season.

Did you see the show where Provenza and Flynn were going to the Dodger game all dressed up in their retro Dodger satin jackets, and they found the dead body in Provenza's garage...but decided not to report it until after the game...best CLOSER show ever.

I think it's a great series or maybe I'm just into it this year more. I wanted St. Louis to win but now I think I'm leaning toward Texas. They have cooler guys on the team

St. Louis squandered multiple chances to score with runners on base. Add to this a few managing gaffes by La Russa, staff and Pujols. Back to St. Louis on Wednesday for game six.

It has been a terrific series...much better than I expected.

Ron Washington is a crack up. Napoli is a man and that on the knee homer by Beltre was classic. I can't believe CJ Wilson only gave up 2 runs with that pitching performance credit great managing for that. It's going to be cold and crappy in St. Louis I'm just hoping for a game 7

Game delays can benefit game one and four starters... and of course the hotel, pub and restaurant business.

Arm weary relievers...too funny OV....one was used the other night solely to intentionally walk a batter...then he was yanked. No doubt they need all the rest they can get.

LaRussa has set a post season record for relievers (65) and Wash isn't far behind (58) with hopefully 2 games left. Maybe you should turn off Murder She Wrote and actually watch this thing that you characterized as "boring"
