QUOTE OF THE YEAR!

Post by SLK230 » Sun Apr 24, 2011 11:57 am

QUOTE OF THE YEAR

Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon on 04.28.2010. Often, one must step outside the circle to get a clear point of view......

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president."
Thought for the day:
We are always hearing about how Social Security is going to run out of money.
How come we never hear about Welfare running out of money?

Al, I've searched the Google archives for the origin of this quote, but all I can find are chat rooms where the exact post you used are also being used. Do you have a link? I'd like to read the entire article. Thanks.

Is this like that other email that was posted about the 10 y/o girl who offed two illegal immigrant Mexican intruders (did I get all the adjectives?) with a .45 auto seconds before they could have their way with her?

It wouldn't be the first urban legend posted on these boards by one of the conservative participants.

Even funnier is that any conservative would give two shakes about what Europe thinks of the US. Given their strong beliefs about American Exceptionalism.
They told me if I voted for Hillary Clinton the president would be emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable. They were right. I voted for Hillary Clinton and got a president that is emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable.

Its amazing that an ideology can post a quote calling the American people fools electing Obama but in the next breath can call that other ideologies hate America. Call it want you want, nativism, racism, expectationalism or elitism, conservatives at their core believe that have the exclusive right to define and critique what America is and should be.

I don't believe it. Thanks for the choice.

This is just the usual carping from those who are angry all the time.

Yeah..keep telling us that.

I'm not surprised you would actually believe this post put up by Al. Given your own ready beliefs in fantasy on another thread I referenced earlier.

If a liberal called Americans fools for electing Bush you would have 20 post calling that person anti-American.

Conservatives did exactly that. Some were even called traitors by Bush supporters.

An obvious hoax but it smells of enough truth the Liberal reaction committee
is forced to come out hootin' and hollerin' with outrage and insults.

That is all I have.

I think it is a great quote regardless of where, what or who said it. Sometimes the quotes are just the quotes.

Liberals don't? The liberal method of dealing with social problems is to legalize them or lower the bar. Liberal values seem to be no values at all. Lets always solve problems by giving into them.

If a woman gets pregnant let her murder the baby. If a kid can't pass a class lower the standard. If your 13 year old daughter want to have sex give her condoms and let her use her bedroom in your house.etc..etc..etc..

Maybe you should stop using Google. Bing found it on American Thinker where it is cited as "an anonymous quote from a much-forwarded e-mail."

Regardless of the source, it is nonetheless accurate, as is the rest of the article on American Thinker from December, 2010:
An infatuated electorate, tutored by the tingly-legged artists of the mainstream media, proceeded to paint Obama's picture without much intensive study of their model, with some actually afraid to look more closely or critically for fear of being labeled "racist." The media contributed fawning essays and flattering photographs to the gallery, selectively publishing only those that projected a stately demeanor, their admiration evident in shots with lighting resembling a halo.

Inspired voters did indeed "project their own views" on Obama's blank canvas. They painted him as their war-ender and bringer of peace, or savior of the economy; political uniter; race unifier; environmental champion; endorser of gay marriage; protector of women's rights; fellow Muslim or Christian; fellow liberal, Communist, or Socialist; wealth redistributionist; brilliant professor; etc. Obama proclaimed, "We are the ones we've been waiting for," and he effectively became a mirror for his fans...

Conservatives like you believe all those problems can solved by legislating morality. What's the difference between the two?

Well lets see now. We can use the liberal method and make abortion and baby murder legal OR we can save the lives of innocent babies and make it illegal.

I think the saving the lives of pure innocent babies option is a much better choice as it saves lives. But gee it means the "mother" will have to take responsibility for her choice to have sex when she wasn't ready to handle the possible consequences.

As Dr Laura said: "A bird is a pretty stupid animal, but even a bird builds her nest before laying her eggs". If only human females were as smart as the birds.

On another thread you're opposed to the government sticking their nose into people's business. Now you're for it.

Please make up your mind.
