WOW! What a great idea, Don! We could have picnics and fireworks and bands and stuff! Maybe it'll become a tradition!

I could see Giuliani, Kellyanne Conway, Andy Borowitz or Yogi Berra saying this, but Dershowitz? Seriously?

Written by the Editor of the the Linden, AL Democrat-Reporter. In 2019. Linden is a small town in central Alabama but still. It's beyond time to end the hate, righties (I know you're there). And don't even try to tell me it comes from "both sides." It doesn't.

"If we could get the Klan to go up there and clean out D.C., we'd all been better off," Sutton said.

Asked to elaborate what he meant by "cleaning up D.C.," Sutton suggested lynching.

"We'll get the hemp ropes out, loop them over a tall limb and hang all of them," Sutton said.

When asked if he felt it was appropriate for the publisher of a newspaper to call for the lynching of Americans, Sutton doubled down on his position.

"... It's not calling for the lynchings of Americans. These are socialist-communists we're talking about. Do you know what socialism and communism is?" Sutton said.

I like the second sentence which rails about Democrats in the Republican Party. :eh?:

Clearly literacy is new to the editor's family.

C'mon JQP, you're going to upset MDDad with talk like that. We all know that Democrats are just as bad...especially the ones who are in the Republican Party.

Not much left of the party. Except for the Speaker of the House. And more voters nationwide.
They told me if I voted for Hillary Clinton the president would be emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable. They were right. I voted for Hillary Clinton and got a president that is emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable.

The only trouble is that maybe around a third of the electorate believes every word of it; probably up to a half believes at least one part of it. And there's a year and a half more of that coming before the next election. Like I've been saying, Democrats need to get ahead of it and blowing it off or simply denying it won't do it, especially if they want to win some Senate seats.

Most of it is not true but I believe it is the most powerful political and moral tool the right uses against the left especially in the say and age of Trump. If they can project the worst ideas and behaviors on the left the right never has to be self reflective and question their own beliefs. For example, I listened a rebroadcast of some of the debate about family separations and the moment when Acosta from CNN challenged Hukabee Sanders as a mother and a Christian and how she keep stating it was the law, over and over again.

They do a great job of appealing to those who conflate the law with morality.

What's sad is how many people believe that. Even now I have to ask for no straws.

Had to check, it's still there

And so Faux "News" "strongly condemned" Pirro's statement and Pirro passively-aggressively doubled down. I think the reply at the bottom pretty well covered it.

And GREAT news for this thread - Donald's campaign spokespeople are back to work! \:D/

Leading off, we have Katrina Pierson with one that's going to be a real challenge to top. But I have confidence in them.

Appearing on Al Sharpton's show on MSNBC (yeah, apparently he has a show on MSNBC) she replied to his questioning on diversity in Trump's staff by asking how many African-Americans Lincoln had in his West Wing. Probably the first time in his life that Rev. Al's been at a loss for words.

For reference:
Lincoln's assassination: April 1865
Thirteenth Amendment adopted: December 1865
West Wing built: 1904

Looking forward to the next 20 months.
