I take it you do not believe that the Democratic party indulges in such unethical activity, since of course otherwise these behaviors would neutralize each other.
But, again, unintelligent ("stupid", as has been said) Republicans are also a prominent cause.

Are there any other similarly compelling reasons for the inequality, or does this pretty much sum it up?
