What other board are you talking about???

I don't know if it has a proper name...we call it "The Other Board".

You don't know the names of the people I am talking about? Are you serious?

It would be nice if your responses had any connection to what I wrote. I didn't say I didn't know who you were referring to, did I? No. I said you didn't have the guts to call them by name, and you still apparently don't. Forgive me if I'm not too concerned about your grievance when you dance around the subject like you do.

We are always hearing about how Social Security is going to run out of money.
How come we never hear about Welfare running out of money?

I have no idea who that question is addressed to nor what it's about.

That was to JQP. I wonder why he made the investment in time and money to do it.

I have no idea what the other board is.

As far as calling anyone out by name I was trying to be polite.

Okay then, the site was created 22 years ago as a hobby and it continues to be one. About a year later, I installed message board software to give the community a place to talk about current events. That also continues. But I'd think that would be obvious.

Ok. My apologies.

By calling people names?

Not real polite. Perhaps if you try again.

In rereading the thread, it appears most of what you are talking about is "*poor battered wife conservative" fantasy.

* Thanks Al, for the dead-on phrase.

Sorry, I forgot I was replying to a conservative. There are two Als in this thread - you and Al Koholic. Crayegg's post was in response to something Al Koholic - the "other" Al - posted and the link goes to his post. If you need further clarification, I suggest asking Mr. Koholic.

Sounds like the other board is what's called an echo chamber.

Oh no, no, no! There's plenty of disagreement. Some think non-conservatives are evil, some think they're just stupid. Some think life begins the day after the party, some think it begins on the first drink. One of them even thinks Donald might not be the best president in the history of the world. Or at least he did at one time. But Lord (there is but one, you know) help you if you think minorities have rights or that guns have anything to do with people getting shot.

But the things they say about me are kind of amusing. Very "creative," I guess you could say.

***illegal aliens?

There were a lot fewer coming in at the end of Obama's term than in 2006, so I have no clue what you think you were right about.

*abortion?

Not seeing where anything proves you right on anything about this issue.

*Muslim Brotherhood?

My guess is that you still don't really know what the Muslim Brotherhood actually is, so who knows what you thought you were right about.

*climate change, 12 years before we all die?? Really??

Nobody here said the world was ending in 12 years. Anthropogenic climate change has been scientifically confirmed over and over again. So once again I have no clue what you though you were right about.

*borders or rather no borders?

We still have borders, so this statement is completely mysterious.

*electoral college?

What about it? Are you just listing words you know?

*collusion?

Really? You posted about collusion in 2006? I am impressed.

*The homeless?

Yes? There have been homeless for a long time. Not sure what you think you were right about.

*poverty?

Don't know what you think you're right about here. Certainly the conservatives redistribution of wealth upwards through changes in the tax system certainly hasn't helped the issue of poverty.

*public education?

Again...are you just stringing together words you know?

*A living wage?

We don't have it, so what's your point?

*income disparity?

It's getting worse...is that what you predicted along with the liberals?

*The 1%

Now you're just putting out numbers that you are aware of.

8One by one the conservatives were bullied to the point of leaving. I finally left after some incredibly stupid statements that made me lose my lunch.

*You mean one-by-one they were driven away by the realization that their ideas often don't stand up to both scrutiny and reality.

*The Star Spangled Banner was just a song praising war and not deserving any special place in our culture.

Which poster said that?

*Socialism/communism is no problem to live under as it is just another “economic” system.

Which poster said that?

*The Muslim Brotherhood are good people who only do wonderful things.

As opposed to whom?

*Public education is the best and does a great job

It does a good job of many things. Conservatives are trying to choke it out so that they can turn the system into a for-profit system. Almost all are reflection of their communities.

illegal aliens are good for the economy.

*abortion is good and is not murder.

It's not. Check a dictionary. Words have meanings. Nothing changed to prove you are "right."

*I see that the dynamic duo that made most of those stupid statements are still alive and well on this board.

You mean the statements that you just made up?

*The left comes from the point of view that they are mainstream, and any pov that doesn’t agree with it is stupid and feckless. The left always knows what is best for you!

Was this supposed to be that ironic?

*I am not going to get back into these topics again as it will do no good at all.

If this is an example of your thinking processes, I don't blame you.

*The left has become even more extreme and even more anti semitic.

Yeah, all those damn liberal Jews and their anti-semitism!

*The “Squad”, I am sure must be beloved on this board. I can’t believe what these hate filled bigots have to say.

That's right, they're minority women with opinions, so they are bigots. Got it.

*It is interesting looking back over a 13 year window and to compare the present with the past.

Did you sleep through the economic collapse?

*Again, I was so right.....

About what? You haven't done anything other than throw random phrases together and claim you were "right" about them.

They told me if I voted for Hillary Clinton the president would be emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable. They were right. I voted for Hillary Clinton and got a president that is emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable.
