Well, five weeks later let's review...this OP didn't age well, did it?

Warren looks to be medium well-done

And Klobuchar is the flavor of the week but has no national organization...can you say VP?

Saw an interesting observation...if the Dems nominate Sanders or Bloomberg in November, both Dems and the GOP will be represented by people who are arguably not really even members of their parties

I just don't see the person who can hold the Democratic coalition together and win back Obama- Trump voters along with moderate Republicans.

It is a strange dynamic this year. Bernie could get the Obama-Trump voters but moderate Republicans really don't like him. Neither do traditional Democrats, although they'd probably vote for him if it came down to it. But I don't think his base and not-all-that-motivated moderates is enough for him to win. We'll see how Biden does in SC but I'm starting to think Bloomberg would be the hardest one for Trump to beat - especially if he gets some strong African-American endorsements. Or a black running-mate. Bloomberg/Booker/Jeffries/Demings would be a damn strong ticket if one of them would be interested.

First off, I think we should stop comparing everyone to Obama - he was extremely unique and will never be emulated

Second, to win, the Democratic candidate doesn't have to pull 50% like Obama did. What it's going to take is merely for a relatively few well-placed voters (in 2016 three counties were the difference) to say "enough is enough" and vote for the greater as opposed to their personal interest...you know, like how Trump won 90%+ of a party vote he didn't even belong to...

If enough people put country first, this is very doable

Sorry Omar but that's one of my pet peeves...

You shouldn't put a modifier in front of "unique". Something is either unique or it's not. It can't be "very" unique, or as you put it "extremely" unique. Just unique. :)

Have it your way.

Here's hoping that your post adding nothing to this discussion save a pedantic vocabulary critique turns out to be extraordinarily one-of-a-kind...

It's not a good day unless I post at least one pedantic vocabulary critique.

On the thread topic it looks like Bernie is picking up a little steam...

I’m sure Bloomberg will be bombarded by the others in the next debate but if he can even hold his own I predict he’ll take over the front runner spot. If he gets a couple zingers in, no looking back.

Nevada will be huge. Mike Bloomberg will be the target at the LV debate not President Trump. Joe Biden must finish in the top three in NV.

Well, Nevada has what, 5 electoral votes? Huge is maybe a bit of an exaggeration.

It's not the votes it's the money and momentum. Biden can't finish 4th or 5th again. Warren is falling in the polls and running out of money fast. St. Pete is still polling terrible with blacks in the south. Amy Klobuchar is picking up steam as the moderate candidate as Binden falls. Will the Sanders and Warren voters stay home if Bloomberg wins the nomination?

Maybe Joe should let a few of his convicted felon buddies out of jail to boost his standing...

No NRA, abortion, GLTQXYZ, reparations, criminal justice, wall or military spending. :eh?:

Saturday will be fun also. If Sen. Sanders is up big look for the DNC to hold back the totals like in Iowa.

Russia helping Sanders.
Burnie Bros are thugs.
Sanders paranoid about party establishment cheating.
Sanders can't control his people.

Same playbook the deep state and fake news pulled on our President. I wonder if the DNC will mess with the vote reporting like they did in Iowa. :mex:
