Be proud, GOPers!!

With the presidential race undecided in the initial hours after Election Day, President Trump insisted he’d won the race, darkly accused unnamed parties of disenfranchising voters and vaguely promised to go to the Supreme Court in head-spinning remarks at the White House.

The president was continuing weeks of statements arguing that the only way he could lose was through fraud, saying in the small hours Wednesday, “We did win this election.”

“This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarrassment to our country," the president fumed. "We want the law to be used in a proper manner. So we will be going to the U.S. Supreme Court.

“We want all voting to stop,” Trump continued. “We don’t want them to find any ballots at 4:00 in the morning and add them to the list, okay. It is a very sad moment.”

He did not provide any details about a possible suit before the highest court in the land.

We've heard the bluster from the right about Biden having lost a step, but this guy is a friggin' nutcase, a certified raving lunatic...and there's more:

The commander-in-chief also said disenfranchisement was underway without providing a shred of proof.

“A very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise ... and we won’t stand for it,” he told supporters in the East Room of the White House. “We will not stand for it.”

It was not clear whom the president was talking about.

He also insisted he will win Georgia, Pennsylvania and Michigan even though officials there have said results might not be known for several days.

“It is also clear that we have won Georgia,” Trump said. “They’re never going to catch us; they can’t catch us.”

"Us"...him and the people living in his head?

Here's some takes from people who are a bit more reserved in their judgements:

Chris Christie, who worked with Trump on debate prep criticized the president’s White House speech on ABC: “It’s a bad strategic decision. It’s a bad political decision.”

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro: “No, Trump has not already won the election, and it is deeply irresponsible for him to say he has.”

Former Senator Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) said he was “very distressed by what I just heard the president say.”

"An embarrassment to our country" indeed...

Biden has the lead in Michigan now.

With Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada, that's enough to get there. He can still win Pennsylvania and Georgia, too.

But I'm very disappoint about North Carolina. We suck. It's like waiting for a grade on a group project. I know I did my part, but I think maybe the rest of you f***ed it up.

Every single conversation about vote counts in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania should include a reminder that Republicans in each of these states actively prevented election officials from counting ballots early.

I don't remember Nevada having this thin of a margin in recent years. Apparently, lots of disgruntled conservatives from California have migrated there in bigger numbers than I thought.
