New Forum!
I thought it might be fun to make a special forum for e-mail forwards. We all get 'em; why not share them with the group?
A few rules and guidelines, though:
1.) Remember THE RULES - "off-color" is ok; porn, vulgarity, "obscenity" and racist, insulting and derogatory posts aren't. Remember to stay within COMMUNITY standards, not you and your buds' standards.
* Added later * Let's try to stay away from Babes and nudity (unless it's incidental in an attachment). Some people might be offended and I don't really want to get into that argument.
2.) Please remove all e-mail addresses before posting. That's uncool in e-mails and it's against the rules here. And I'm sure most of us would appreciate it if you could remove the carets if they go beyond one layer.
3.) Most all types of attachments are authorized except programs. Any malicious, or otherwise objectionable files will be removed but we take NO responsibility for their content and urge everybody to run them through his/her own virus scanner before opening them.
4.) The number of attachments is set at 25 for the time being (probably more than anybody will have the patience to upload, anyway) and php sets a size limit of 4 MBs. Bandwidth and disk space aren't issues for the foreseeable future but if we notice slowness in the server or if we start running low on disk space, some posts might be pruned.
5.) No, you can't just copy and paste and expect your post to look like the e-mail. You'll have to save any attachments and then upload them with your post. There is a check box on the posting form to place images where you want them, though, and we have the full range of BBcodes to format however you'd like.
6.) Please be careful with the copyright violations.
7.) Anything I missed?

Re: New Forum!
I suggest if the e-mail is a reprint of a (what I'll call) more "bona fide" source, go to that source and reprint the high points of the article with a link to it. That will save us having to scroll through three pages of text in the e-mail, it will preserve the copyright protection, and it will spare the poster looking lazy.John Q. Public wrote: 7.) Just a thought, though.

And another.... All of the "Obama/McCain is a transsexual, former Nazi, Jesuit Muslim taxer and spender" posts should still go in the News sections.
