Re: First Annual South Coast League Weekly Prediction Thread
As expected, almost everybody has gone 4-0 in picks over the last two weeks (not so fast, there, Tommy Trojan and number 9). It's worth noting that the average score differential in the four games has been 35 points, making it harder than hell to make accurate pointspreads. Nonetheless, bringtheheat has been best in that, off by only a total of 34 points in his pointspreads, about 8.5 points per game.
We started off with 20 contestants but are now down to only 13 serious contenders. Playing time, SCJ 60, redbull, noseguard, Bick and Kingspeed have all evidently dropped out, apparently embarrassed by their less than stellar performances. But we'll take the high road and not refer to them as losers, quitters, wussies, candyasses or Exocets.
The cumulative pointspreads are in parentheses and indicate the total number of points you are off by in your predictions. Obviously, low score leads and that allows for tiebreakers in the event of an ultimate tie. Current standings are:
29-5
Johnny Utah (49)
Luca (56)
Playthegame (23, but with no pointspread for week six)
28 – 6
bringtheheat (34)
27 – 7
NJtoNYCtoSOC (no selections the last two weeks, given a courtesy 2-2 record but with no pointspread effectively screwing himself)
26.5-7.5
2002tony
26 – 8
MDDad (44)
Templar (23, but with no selections last week)
25.5 – 8.5
Dan Patrick (45)
25 – 9
Professor Fate (39)
thebull (64)
23 – 11
Sir Charles (73)
22 – 12
Joefutball (no selections the last four weeks, I only include him to make him look bad)
Tommy Trojan
21.5 – 12.5
number9 (70)

Hey Old buddy,
My week six points are on page 11, differential for week six as follows:
MV - Prediction 35 actual 41 net dif = 6
SJH - Prediction 21 actual 34 net dif = 13
Net 19 for the week, plus 23 = 42.

Luca,I do get a guilty pleasure out of your posts, it is like watching a fat woman in the gym. Got to applaud the effort but have to remind myself to hide the laughs.
