Prime Time Polynesian 5v5 Lineman Tournament

Post by Professor Fate »

Dave Keefer, moderator of CaliforniaPreps.com is reporting some results from the Prime Time Polynesian 5v5 Lineman Tournament at El Dorado March 25th.

1st. Mater Dei - "excellently coached perfect technique!"
2nd. O Lu  -"they are grinders still figuring it out."
3rd. Upland. "don't sleep on them. All three are going to Vegas for the big one."

https://californiapreps.forums.rivals.c ... otball.16/

The only other thing I saw, was that Los Alamitos posted: "Los Al dominates Servite in 2nd round of pool play at Prime Time Polynesian Lineman Competition."

A bit discouraging for Friar fans. O-line is the one area I thought was decent.

untrue.
Los Al scorned.
Feelings hurt.
LA coach mad his disloyal sweethearts left him...last seen kissing Servite.
...and after all he did for those guys :(

Interesting to see olu do well in this. Recently they’ve had a lot of skill players but a weak line and run game. In these competitions is there are run blocking or is it just pass blocking?

Speaking of Vegas, Another kid who needs to be seriously looked at, is La Habra Football class of 2020,
Andrew -Ueli-Foalia OL/DL, 6'2-1/2" 310 LBS and is running a 4.9 40.
He will be in Vegas this weekend. I know on the offensive side of the ball, he plays defensive minded. He smashes you into the ground, and will chase you into the stands, until or after the whistle blows. NASTY!!!
Reminds me alot of Toa Lobendahn, USC., or Kyle Peko back in the day.
Andrew, could make one hell of a nose guard though, and take away the middle, and will attract double and triple teams. Could be one of the best to come out of La Habra. Dont miss out on this kid.

Saw that clip...scary. Could see him as blitzing LB...get him off the line to get that 310 Lb load moving and simply crush what ever is in front of him. Better hope you have a quick toss away or give him the ball on O, 3 yrd plus guy all day long...Just an in the box and out of the box thought for the day...either way traditional or Sneaky...the LH dude will be a force and Nasty! Gad Zooks!

Almost forgot Toa Lobehndan was a La Habra grad. He was a senior-year transfer from Lakewood High, was he not? I believe he came over with his dad, who was on the coaching staff at both schools.

PTG-
Thats a great idea, for the offensive goaline, or 3rd and shorts. A few years back LH had the heavy package with Greg Gains(Washington Huskies), Tristan De Larosa, And Cantu, over 800 lbs of pure havoc coming at you.

NDB-
Toa was a Lakewood transfer. His Dad was head coach there, but the time Toa was at La Habra, his dad was actually coaching at Cerritos college. Lakewood has been good to the CLAN. :giggle:
There alot of Pacific Islanders past and present, who have contributed big time to La Habra football, and it doesnt look like its slowing down anytime soon. The next step is to get Mazzotta to be a honorary member of the FAMILY.
La Habra Football rolling deep.

Mater Dei's Myles Mauro was named top alpha dog, top OL at the Polynesian Combine. And MD teammates Tai Marks, George Miki-Han were named to top performers showcase. Mauro and Marks will be juniors, Miki-Han will be a sophomore.

That guy is a beast, and he's nasty. Mater Dei's O line is unbelievable, at least in T Shirt and shorts.

MD O-line has the beast mode going for them. If they can bond/gel like last years O-Line they could be as good, or better? --:--

No worse than passing league. It might be more realistic.
