More pain for local residents....whatever chance Oaks had went poof when "the top recruit in the country — Kayvon Thibodeaux — was ejected from last week's win over JSerra" (per MaxPreps) and was ruled ineligible for tonight's game
The MD-CC matchup will depend on which D can get more stops, should be very interesting
"How stupid is our country?"
ANOTHER mismatch for the Braves. Bosco may end up facing less real competition than any mythical HS national champion in recent memory.
Other than MD, JSerra and now Oaks, playing one handed without one of the best players in the country, who will SJB have beaten in 13 games??
No wonder Negro said this week they haven’t played their best game. They’ve barely played ANY real games.
Charbonnet pounds for about 8 to start, then Tripp Mitchell hits a wide open Ethan Calvert (who is killing Bosco’s secondary and finding HOLES in their zone coverage) catches one down the field about 15 yds, runs for another 50 or so breaking tackles down to about the 10. Mitchell takes a zone read to the 1, Oaks then called for illegal sub, killer penalty.
Oaks pounds it back to about the 3, before Bosco stuffs two Charbonnnet runs, including a terrible slow developing outside zone run. Oaks inexplicably decides to KICK A FG down 28-7, it’s good. 28-10 SJB leads with 2m left in 1st half.
Huskies finally playing a team that can make them pass the ball, Mikaele and Freedland getting exposed. Will that continue? Can THIS Centennial team play from behind when they’ve never had too?? Especially if that means putting the rock in the air consistently with those young QBs against that secondary??OutOfState wrote:QR_BBPOST Perhaps Centennial should stop throwing at Ricks?
Then DJ loads up the Howitzer and blasts a shot over the middle in stride, to Hutson again; Hutson catches it at about the 25 and runs through 4 Oaks defenders who barely touch him, the last one literally running next to him stride for stride until he was 5 yards into the end zone. Not sure #27 of Oaks knew where they were on the field.
Bosco scores with 30 seconds left in the first half, drive took about 29 seconds and 4-5 plays. 35-10 Braves; Halftime. Warm up the bus, this should be over by 915.
DJ 5 TD passes in the FIRST HALF. Pretty much hasn’t been touched in the pocket all night. Sitting back there eating Pork Rinds, baking cookies, ala JT 2017, and Bosco’s OL isn’t THAT good. I’m sure Kayvon Thibodueax wouldn’t have at least made those tackles work a bit. #CIFSSRefs
