I won't speak for others. I always appreciate when the foolish self identify.
They told me if I voted for Hillary Clinton the president would be emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable. They were right. I voted for Hillary Clinton and got a president that is emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable.

Well Prof, that is the saddest thing I've seen in this thread, and that is saying something.

That is really what you are all about, right? Screw the country, screw every political and social norm known to humanity, so long as you get your dig at the libs.

Sad and tragic, really.

The stable genius who only picks the best people just fired John Bolton.

That is a good thing.

I'm sure Putin handed him a list of preferred candidates.

It's hard to imagine an NSA scarier than Bolton but I have a feeling we're about to meet him.

I like how he constantly makes his point with hypotheticals that can't be rebutted.

It would be great if one of the Trump supporters could tell us why the US should go to war with Iran. Trump's latest tweets seem to be pointing in that direction.

Oh BTW, the Senate voted 54-41 to end Donald's declaration of emergency on the border and his ability to divert funds for his wall. Yawn.

"Moron-Contra" won the vote. So I guess Donald decided to take it upon himself to demonstrate why.

Interesting ruling on his tax returns, BTW - The Office of Legal Counsel's ruling is only an opinion and the president can't be immune if the case involves other people or entities. Makes sense.

Turkish forces carried out attacks against Kurdish forces and the anti-Assad Syrian Democratic Forces militia in Syria and Iraq near the Turkish border on Monday evening.

Turkish forces attacked SDF positions in the city of al-Malikiyah in the Hasakah area in northern Syria, according to Syrian state news agency SANA.

The SDF includes Kurds and others in eastern Syria which the US has helped train, assist and advise during the war on ISIS.

~snip~

Turkey will move forward with its long-planned military operation to create what it calls a "safe zone" in northern Syria and U.S. forces will not support or be involved in it, the White House press secretary announced early Monday morning.

Yeah. "Safe zone."

Safe...as long as you're not a Kurd.

Here's Newsweek's take on this situation:

EXCLUSIVE: OFFICIAL WHO HEARD CALL SAYS TRUMP GOT 'ROLLED' BY TURKEY AND 'HAS NO SPINE'

Donald Trump got "rolled" by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a National Security Council source with direct knowledge of the discussions told Newsweek.

In a scheduled phone call on Sunday afternoon between President Trump and President Erdogan, Trump said he would withdraw U.S. forces from northern Syria. The phone call was scheduled after Turkey announced it was planning to invade Syria, and hours after Erdogan reinforced his army units at the Syrian-Turkish border and issued his strongest threat to launch a military incursion, according to the National Security Council official to whom Newsweek spoke on condition of anonymity.

The U.S. withdrawal plays into the hands of the Islamic State group, Damascus and Moscow, and the announcement left Trump's own Defense Department "completely stunned," said Pentagon officials. Turkey, like the United States, wants regime change in Syria. Russia and Iran support the Assad regime.

"President Trump was definitely out-negotiated and only endorsed the troop withdraw to make it look like we are getting something—but we are not getting something," the National Security Council source told Newsweek. "The U.S. national security has entered a state of increased danger for decades to come because the president has no spine and that's the bottom line."

Unmatched, indeed

Based on Internal Revenue Service transcripts of Trump’s tax returns from 1985 to 1994, the Times report said that Trump’s core businesses racked up losses of more than a billion dollars in a ten-year period. During 1990 and 1991, the story said, Trump’s losses were so large that they “were more than double those of the nearest taxpayers in the I.R.S. information for those years.”
