Started at what? DE? Over Narayan? That’s interesting if so. Narayan has played pretty well this year. But with Sagiao out that would surely help with depth at the Monarchs thinnest position on the roster.

Mater Dei played a three man front line with Sefita Tupe playing (switching off) both sides. Many kids played but Sefita Tupe and Martin Salazar were in the most.

I can definetley see that happening, MD has basically being the top luring HS for QB's during the Rollo era, even during the MD title drought years, it still never had a shortage of attracting, luring elite QB's who were nationally-recruited.KuppRunneth wrote:BIG TIME Texas QB is about to transfer to Mater Dei this off season.
Your move Bosco.

Other than Deion Sanders son, I don’t see one Texas quarterback that should transfer to Mater Dei.
Don’t see a Texas QB that I would take over some of the California kids.

Agreed. There are plenty of great young local QBs. The 2 that I’d take first are the the sophomores at Rancho Verde or Gardena Serra.

I love the term "I'd take."

It's gotten pretty close. In a few years "signing days" for the Trinity League may well be televised locally in the Spring to showcase what talent is transferring to which school.

I was just in Texas and watched Southlake Carroll play Guyer (2 state top-10 teams) live. If you put the Carroll sophomore QB Quinn Ewers into MD/Bosco, they wouldn't miss a beat. Very similar to JT Daniels in HS-that good.

This could get interesting if there is any validity whatsoever.

So I guess he’s been in “some form of witness protection” but still coaching in broad daylight (and nightlight) since his threatening tweet last month?KuppRunneth wrote:anyone see that tweet from Chad Johnson last night? This could be very interesting

What a joke...All the Trinity League coaches looking over their shoulders now...SS CIF, just notorious enforcers...The only thing that will come from SS CIF would be transfer protocol changes, no sanctions, nothing that will change anything, new rules means new work arounds...

Jason Negro’s body man Terry Bullock must have stolen one too many South County Trojans for Bosco and pissed Bad Chad off.

Recently committed to USC, Narbonne QB, Jake Garcia,
a Whittier resident, will lose alot of players at the skill spots next year. ALL seniors.
Jake is a Junior. Will he stick around, or will he leave and continue his senior year elsewhere?
He started his freshman year at Long Beach Poly under Antonio Pierce.
Time will tell???

Bro, Jake Garcia isn’t leaving Narbonne

Why would he leave when they’ve got an annual free pass into the state regional game as LA City champions at 14-1, at worst? He only left Poly because AP recruited him to Poly then left for ASU, and frankly, Narbonne is an upgrade even with the off field stuff.
He’s going to finish this year winning another city title by 50 and probably playing the best team from San Diego again, for the right to play in the step-below-Open Division state title game. Then whoever is the coach for the Gauchos will bring in another crop of one and done seniors to Harbor City, and do the same thing again next season. Then Jake will be headed off to play for Urban Meyer and the Trojans

Maalik Murphy is from Carson, not Texas.

The proverbial “transfer portal” won’t be officially open until January, but there sure is a LOT of smoke to this within the MD and Premium/STARS SoCal communities from what I’m hearing.
Eerily similar to the Bryce Young rumors two years ago. Which was later referred to as “the worst kept secret in HS football” and announced by Sondheimer before it was even announced by Bryce. We’ll see how this one plays out.

Anyone in the MD circle saying MD is taking Maalik Murphy is not in the CIRCLE. They don't know what they are talking about. Better chance he goes to Bosco with an X Serra coach there now. Unless of course Bosco lands the QB they are looking at from Hawaii. In that case I'm sure they will pass on Mr. Murphy.
