So now you're refusing to address the actual topic and have resorted to insults, yet I'm FSHH Jr.? It is to laugh.
And, uhhh, no, exactly the opposite is true. He was well out of bounds when the hit was made. Doesn't take a homer or a sore loser to see that.

Just an FYI... if someone who isn't the original poster in the thread responds to the thread without quoting you, they're either talking about the topic or responding to the previous post. I was responding to the previous post, just like I am now.
Anyway, both his feet were in bounds. Would you like a screenshot? I'm good with the intranets.

This was the announcer's comment right after the play. Is he a homer, a sore loser, or both?Sam Farber, Fox Sports West Announcer wrote:And I've said this before, that's why Bryce is smiling right there.... He's like a basketball guy taking a charge. He slows down, invites that contact, takes the hit, and then, it was a big hit, but he invites that. Like, he does that so well. I'm not saying he's flopping, but he does that all the time -- sideline, slow down, gets hit, 15 yarder.

NO EXCUSES , except of course this one right hereOutOfState wrote:Did you guys notice this? It’s been a while since Big Dave’s name has come up here which is a good thing. But I guess he couldn’t help himself after another loss to MD.

I actually feel sorry for the kid his dad is such an idiot.

What makes you think that?joefutbol wrote:Would you like a screenshot?

Exactly, right after the play, and likely from the other side of the field. Tell us what he said after he saw the slo-mo replay above.

I believe DJ was on Varsity as a freshman right? just asking, because that's the last time Bosco won CIF and State, and he looks to graduate without a ring if that was the case.

This season is far from over, but you know that, don't you?

anyone who questions this call and asks the kid to be tossed is just a MD fan or hates Bosco.dntn31 wrote:Here's 3

This is what BY does. He needs to stop. Hate to see the kid get hurt over trying to get an extra 15. There was nothing bad about what Jon Jon did. It was clean. However, its the type of play football is trying to get rid of, and I respect it. Refs will always be over cautious with plays like this. The last thing you'd want to see is a kid get ejected for a clean play.

There was nothing bad about what Jon Jon did. It was clean. So, following that same logic there was nothing bad about what Bryce did by slowing up tempting the defense to hit him going out of bounds?

In regards to DJ's ankle sprain post oh boo hoo, seems to me I remember in the not to distant past an entire team had the flu for the entire week before the BIG game day and nary a word was spoken. Everyone wondered why the team looked a step slow.

The hit was questionably late. I have no issue with the flag but he definitely should not be ejected for it which he thankfully wasn't.Kuppster wrote:anyone who questions this call and asks the kid to be tossed is just a MD fan or hates Bosco.
I actually have a bigger issue with the play where he stood over Dixon after tackling him on a 3rd down key reception. My problem is that earlier in the game the ref threw a flag at Jaylan Davies for talking to a Bosco receiver after a play. If that deserved a flag then so too to Jon Jon standing over Dixon. Either throw the flag on both, or better yet, it's emotional kids playing football so just let them play and don't throw a flag at all.
Re: Mater Dei v St John Bosco - Trinity League Super Bowl 2019
what BY does by slowing down is certainly legal. BUT, as a fan of football and BY, I wish he would stop. Its unnecessary. MD doesnt need 15 yards to win games. I'd hate to see him actually get hurt because he wanted to get his team an extra 15. And then you guys would crucify whoever was the one that got him hurt.jb914 wrote:There was nothing bad about what Jon Jon did. It shouldnt have been a flag. Its why i hate high school officiating. Everything has to be done with just the eye. No help from replays. So i get why its called. Jon Jon did the same thing against Mililani. Absolutely annihilated a kid. Knocked him out cold. But it was a clean hit. All shoulder. But the kid was 5'10 160 pounds. Its going to look worse getting hit by a monster like Jon Jon
