People magazine is reporting that Kirk Douglas has passed away at 103.

RIP

I AM SPARTACUS!!

Principle photography took so long on this movie that Tony Curtis allegedly asked Jean Simmons, "Who do I have to f*** to get off this film?" Some versions of the interaction include Simmons shouting back, "When you find out, let me know."

The message board world mourns.

Larry Tesler, an icon of early computing, has died at the age of 74.

Mr Tesler started working in Silicon Valley in the early 1960s, at a time when computers were inaccessible to the vast majority of people.

It was thanks to his innovations - which included the "cut", "copy" and "paste" commands - that the personal computer became simple to learn and use.

Video plays his entire first album - a masterpiece of American music. Warning: Tracks 3, 4, 7 and 11 are depressing as hell, but the storytelling is phenomenal.

For those of us who followed Formula 1 during the 50s and 60s.

Sir Stirling Moss. Age 90.

That he competed in that era and died of natural causes is remarkable.

RIP.

Double Rainbow Guy.

MARIPOSA, Calif. (AP) — Paul L. Vasquez, the burly mountain man whose awestruck reaction upon seeing a double rainbow propelled him to internet stardom and turned him into a folk hero, has died in Central California. He was 57.

Vasquez, who called himself Yosemitebear on social media, died early Saturday at a hospital emergency room, the Mariposa County coroner’s office told the Modesto Bee.

The cause of death has not been released. Vasquez had recently posted on his Facebook page that he had gone to get tested for COVID-19 but learned about another unspecified ailment.

Trying to explain Eddie Haskell to a feriner made me wonder if Officer Osmond would say "My, you look lovely today, Mrs. Smith" when he'd pull people over.
