File that one under the "loose lips" category.

I am sure the now incinerated crew appreciated the publicity. Right up until they did not.

Speaking of war criminals. The Washington Post is reporting;
Former U.S. secretary of state Henry A. Kissinger said Monday that Ukraine should concede territory to Russia to help end the invasion, suggesting a position that a vast majority of Ukrainians are against as the war enters its fourth month.

Speaking at a conference at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Kissinger urged the United States and the West to not seek an embarrassing defeat for Russia in Ukraine, warning it could worsen Europe’s long-term stability.

After saying that Western countries should remember Russia’s importance to Europe and not get swept up “in the mood of the moment,” Kissinger also pushed for the West to force Ukraine into accepting negotiations with a “status quo ante,” which means the previous state of affairs.
My first thought is that Zelensky should tell Kissinger to go eff himself. Then ask how much of his private holdings he is willing to give to Putin.

Kissinger's position is not merely immoral, it's been proved wrong over and over. Conceding to great power spheres like Putin and Xi Jinping isn't sustainable because dictators inevitably need conflict. They inevitably want MORE.

Russia is a superpower by virtue of its nuclear arsenal. I know several ex-pats who live in Europe. They tell me no one is scared of Putin's army at this point in time. Fear of the Russian army is the only thing Putin had, and now it is gone. Along with much of the army and its materiel.

Kissinger needs to go away.

All blessed by God....

In October 2015, Russia’s newly launched military intervention in defense of embattled Syrian President Bashar al-Assad received a clerical blessing. Patriarch Kirill, the powerful leader of the Russian Orthodox Church and a close ally of President Vladimir Putin, declared the operation “a responsible decision to use military forces to protect the Syrian people from the woes brought on by the tyranny of terrorists.”
All blessed by the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church. Seven years later, Kirill and his loyal clergy now deliver sermons about their country’s role in another righteous, holy battle.

"We have entered into a struggle that has not a physical, but a metaphysical significance,”
Kirill went on, claiming God was on Russia’s side and expanding his critique of Western liberalism: “Today there is a test for the loyalty to this new world order, a kind of pass to that ‘happy’ world, the world of excess consumption, the world of false ‘freedom,’ ” he said. “Do you know what this test is? The test is very simple and at the same time terrible — it is the gay pride parade.”

Carlson is either a Russian stooge or useful idiot.

Either way, the support for Putin is greatly appreciated by him.

File this under the "loose lips sink ships" category.

The Daily Mail is reporting;
Smiling alongside mercenaries in full combat gear, this is how Russian war propagandist Sergei Sreda marked a visit to Wagner's Ukraine headquarters last week - saying they welcomed him 'like family' and told 'funny stories'.

But Sreda may have condemned the men to death - giving away the base's location in the occupied city of Popasna after inadvertently photographing a street sign that contained the address of a nearby bomb shelter.

That was all experts needed to locate the base, which Ukraine then used to launch a HIMARS strike. Confirmation that it had been struck came on Sunday, when Telegram channels with links to Wagner began posting photos of the aftermath - including soldiers being carried away on stretchers.

It is just the latest embarrassing blunder for Vladimir Putin's forces almost six months into what was supposed to be a days-long war in Ukraine - having been forced to retreat from Kyiv, seen the Black Sea flagship Moskva sunk, withdrawn from Snake Island, and last week seen an airbase in Crimea all-but wiped off the map.

Ukraine kicking some major Russki butt today. More than just taking back the city of Kupiansk, they've cut off Russia's supply lines for the entire region. :rockon:

Vladi isn't going to be happy about that.

I am tracking the war on this website.

Ukraine is moving so fast the maps cannot keep up with them.

I have had more than one MAGA type tell me that Biden is laundering monies to his family via the military aid to Ukraine.

Their gullibility and idiocy knows no boundaries.

Things can literally change overnight in warfare. For the time being. Things do not look good for the visiting team.

At the Yalta Conference in 1945, Adm. Ernest King toasted the brave heroes of the Red Army. Stalin quipped, “It takes a courageous man NOT to be a hero in the Red Army.” (You can be shot by the Germans while attacking or shot by your own officers while retreating.)
