Anybody wanna buy a house?

Post by John Q. Public » Sat Oct 24, 2015 9:07 pm

Um, "tastefully" decorated 4 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom house in Newport for sale. Only $9.9 million. Walking distance to shopping. Two pools. We figure one's probably for the mermaids.

Homey, huh? The Foreign Babe and I have been shaking our heads since we saw it yesterday.

More pictures here.

Neo Baroque, with a little Ceasar's Palace influence.

I saw this spread earlier in the Reg...it's about the busiest looking house I've ever seen. What a sub-contracting nightmare. Definitely out of my comfort zone.

I hope the buyers insist that the rusty areas on the roof(s) are repaired before purchasing it.
Who in their right mind uses a welcome sign to mean people who would come into their home uninvited, paid by their neighbors who are using their illegal labor, overrun the neighborhood, and refuse to leave?

Drove by a few $10M homes in Dallas yesterday. How about a 4 bedroom, 7 bath, 10k square foot place in Highland Park for $11M. Highland Park was designed by the same people who created Beverly Hills. They have a nearby community called University Park and near that Preston Hallows. Those are the high end communities in Dallas, just a few miles from downtown, on large parcels of land surrounded by lakes and tall trees. No ocean views of course. Crazy.

After looking at those pictures again, it reminds of the King Louis line of kings of France, or maybe Liberace's Vegas home. The only person who would buy a house that garish must be the world's richest pimp.

It almost makes Don's penthouse look understated. Almost.
