Postby insidetrinity » Thu Jan 04, 2018 10:02 pm

first game of league was today...
md beat santa margarita in a good game. game ended 68-55 but sm was up at the end of the first, second and third quarters. was up 3 after 3 but had their top two players foul out early in the fourth and after that md cruised. the other four teams start league friday

-- Going to be an interesting season for MD, at certain times MD had 3! freshmen on the floor,
losing Bol and Fuller was a deep blow for MD. MD outscored SM 24-8! in the last quarter.
I actually thought SM had a good chance of finally beating MD in this game. Should be
an interesting game at SM. MD leaves for West Virginia for a Saturday night game, man,
they travel nationally a lot...

Michael Wang sprained his ankle last night. Doubtful he plays in the game in West Virginia. Depending on severity of sprain he could be out a few days to a couple weeks.

Since I’m not sure how many league games they play each year, can you let me know how long that streak spanned?

Pretty sure their last league loss was to Orange Lutheran in 2011

Fun fact - when MD ended Bosco's 23-game Trinity win streak in football last year, it was SJB's first league loss since...2011

Trinity BB looks to be up for grabs...SM-SJB-MD

I think the fact that we allow AAU programs like St. John Bosco to remain in the Trinity League is a joke. It wasn't that long ago when all five of their starters were mercenary transfers, and they had two more on the bench. They should be kicked into freelance status and forced to play Oak Hill, Findlay Prep, IMG and other similar sports academies. Let the other five "regular" schools in the league continue to play for a league championship that will once again mean something. Credo.

MD will still win the Trinity, only tough game left is at SM, "if" they win that game, they beat Bosco in the re- match at home on 26th. Giving MD 1 league loss
Bosco will lose 1 to SM, and MD wins on the 26th at home vs Bosco
MD will have 1 league loss and Bosco 2 losses.
McKnight is a great coach ( 1000 wins!!!) he will figure a way to take Bosco

Did MD ever loose to those Bosco teams? Last time I checked you lost last night to 4 starters who started their at bosco since freshman year and 1 transfer.
