LeBron is a Laker

Post by Omar Bongo »

Four years for $153.3 mil. Thoughts?

As a lifelong Laker fan I have mixed feelings, but plucking and plugging-in high-profile stars has always been the Laker way. I love the young core they're building but I admit they need some veteran stars to realistically compete in the near term. Hopefully they continue to grow and with the possible addition of Kawhi Leonard via free agency next year (not this year by trading away all their young talent) they could be right back in the mix.

Funny you should mention that...LeBron Jr. is in the 8th grade

So far so good

Magic with a flurry one one-year deals setting up for the next domino (Kawhi Leonard) in 2019

A little strange they signed Rajon Rondo, one point guard who can't shoot isn't enough? Wonder if they're sending LaVar a message...

Would have liked to have kept Julius Randle but he wasn't okay with just a one-year deal...good luck to him wherever he ends up

When LaBron was in high school (driving a Brand new Hummer), His team traveled to So. Cal to play Mater Dei. He brought his own Ref who just happened to foul out Harrison Schaen on some BS foul calls. They kept showing his Mother on TV and never bothered to mention his Father who was in prison, however they made it a point to mention on multiple occasions how much trouble DJ Strawberry's Father caused. It was a disgusting display of bias. How did LaBron afford that Hummer? BTW, DJ shut Labron down to 9 points in the first half. You asked. My brother has season tickets and "if" decided to go to a Laker game, I will be sure to wear a MAGA hat just to agitate LaBron.

Trade Ball. He is worthless and the Lakers don't need his family's baggage.

Rod - You must feel better after carrying around that bile inside you for the last 16 years. If you had done even just a little research, you would know that the hummer was a gift from his mother and was cleared by an investigation by the Ohio High School Athletic Association...16 years ago.

FWIW - If you want people to take your complaints about the most famous basketball player on the planet seriously, you might wanna learn how to spell his name...

Yeah! Okay, Mom can afford a $90K Hummer. No bile. I don't like the He tries to control the NBA. He will lose more fans by going after fans because of their political beliefs. He should talk to MJ about opening his yap about politics.

Since you didn't capitalize it in your post, no, I couldn't tell LOL

So anyway, I think I get it now...you don't dislike all of them, only the uppity ones who don't keep their mouths shut

The first thing I thought of when I heard the Lakers had committed $153.3 million to James was that I hope they didn't just sign Albert Pujols II.

What does "uppity" mean? Never said that. LABron should be mouthing off to a fan because of a hat. And yes,
celebrity and/or athletes have fans on both sides should shut up and play the game. Why should they care who is president, they have millions. I am enjoying my bigger paychecks and knowing friends getting good jobs.

I know. Success is boring. Speaking of success, MD wins the Edison tourney.

We're still not big on Lebron being a Laker, I heard he did a nice speech for Kobe though last night. But for Lebron to just jump for city-to-city chasing easier routes to championships is not the way to "earn" it.
The only easy day was yesterday...
