Love how our friend is silent for the vast majority of polls but pipes right up whenever there's an outlier than fits his narrative.

They don't poll everybody, these are small samples. Once in a while they poll a sample that includes a few more supporters (or detractors) than the statisticians are willing to admit. Let's see if it continues.

Thanks Tommy, you've illustrated the maturity level of the average Trump fan in 3 words or less. Well done.

The headline of the article you cite shreiks "Joe Biden Goes Missing", and then 3 sentences in states that "Biden spent Thursday gathered with his top advisers at his home in Wilmington, Del." Just a little reading goes a long way.

Those guys at the Poo know just what button to push...too easy

New NPR poll.
https://www.npr.org/2020/02/19/80704794 ... -americans

Views of socialism grow more unfavorably the older the generation, but even 50% of Gen Z and Millennials had an unfavorable view of it, as opposed to just 38%, who had a favorable one.

Suburban voters, who have been trending with Democrats since Trump's election, are overwhelmingly against it by a 27%-to-61% margin.

Capitalism, on the other hand, was viewed overwhelmingly favorably by a 57%-to-29% margin. But a majority of progressives (52%) had an unfavorable view of capitalism, as did a 45%-to-37% plurality of African Americans.

But Sanders, in this poll and others, does beat President Trump in a head-to-head match up, 48% to 45%. That's something his campaign and surrogates are eager to point out.
=====snip======

The head-to-head is the popular vote not the electoral college vote.

I read an article a week or so ago where they asked people if they'd vote for a "__________" as president and the only two that ranked below 50% (I wish I could remember the numbers) were "atheist" and "socialist." "Gay individual" even ranked well and "atheist" totally surprised me but that's beside the point.

With that in mind, though, I'm still surprised that Bernie labels himself as a Socialist. He might agree with some of the things socialism does well or he might have a deep yearning to be Swedish but he hasn't shown any indications of favoring nationalizing anything besides maybe health insurance. He's a very liberal Democrat but it seems like he's only hurting himself by calling himself a socialist.

Even if Bernie won I doubt there would be a huge change. I think the 'socialist' paranoia is overblown.

Mike Bloomberg's campaign is sounding the alarm that Bernie Sanders will soon amass an unsurmountable delegate lead if the Democratic field stays split — and took the extraordinary step of suggesting laggards should drop out. (But not Bloomberg)

What they're saying: Kevin Sheekey, Bloomberg's top strategist, said: "The fact is if the state of this race remains status quo — with Biden, Pete and Amy in the race on Super Tuesday — Bernie is likely to open up a delegate lead that seems nearly impossible to overcome."

Good numbers (in the second tweet) to explain why the majority of "Republicans" surveyed always say the sky is "yellow." Note only 4% volunteered "both."

Also note: 42% don't identify as Trump supporters.

Huh? 7% who support neither trump nor the GOP nevertheless say they "lean" Republican? Most likely Reagan/Bush Republicans with a conscience who are hoping the past three years is just a bad dream.

Do yourselves a favor guys, that party is gone forever. Grow a pair and call yourselves Independents, because that's what you are.

Also note the contrast with Don's constant claims of 95% support among Republicans.

Now, back to the future

May 20, 2020

Poll: Biden Holds 11-Point Lead Over Trump

Former Vice President Joe Biden leads President Trump by double digits in the race for the White House, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released on Wednesday.

The poll shows Biden with an 11-point advantage over Trump in a national head-to-head match-up. Fifty percent of those surveyed said they currently plan on voting for the former vice president, while 39 percent said they would vote for Trump.

Trump’s dip in the support tracks with waning voter approval of his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Forty-one percent of respondents said they approve of the job he’s doing to combat the outbreak, down from 46 percent in April.

Meanwhile, the number of voters who disapprove of his handling of the coronavirus pandemic rose to 56 percent from 51 percent last month.

The president’s overall job approval is in decline, as well, falling to 42 percent from 45 percent in April.

Yeah, it's still early. And everyone is anticipating the slimiest, scummiest, most relentless smear campaign ever from a sitting president.

Be proud, GOPers.

Andrea who?
They told me if I voted for Hillary Clinton the president would be emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable. They were right. I voted for Hillary Clinton and got a president that is emotional, impulsive, and unpredictable.

New poll from Rasmussen, which routinely favors trump:

Poll: Trump Hits Lowest Rasmussen Net Approval Since 2017
Tobias Hoonhout 7 hrs ago

President Trump on Wednesday reached his worst approval rating in over two years on Rasmussen’s daily index, with just 42 percent of respondents approving of his performance while 57 percent disapproved.

The fifteen-point net disapproval reflects the bleakest picture for the president since December 2017. Rasmussen, whose results tend to skew positively for the president, also found that 30 percent of respondents strongly approve of Trump while 47 percent strongly disapprove, his worst rating since January 2018.
