There is not one chance in hell JSerra will beat Mater Dei. The talent discrepancy is overwhelming with all the kids MD has brought in over the last few years. I don't expect it to be competitive and could have been mailed in before the season started. The final four are going to be MD, Bosco, Centennial and some other token attendee...........Luca

Indeed! I noticed that MD had a freshman corner in man coverage on multiple occasions that got burned.

It is interesting how the sentiment changed over the course of a year. After last years wins over SJB many stated that a younger SJB team would have an edge going against MD next year with a good group of starters returning. For the most part many believed SJB would have the edge in 2018. Somewhere all that evaporated.

SJB didn't play a hard enough schedule to date and MD beat IMG thus they are now superior. It got to the point where few believed SJB had a chance in this game. The barely beating JSerra solidified that, right? I am surprised at the Trinity Fans here whom have yet to notice what is happening down in SJC. "Calling Chris Street, hey ummmm Street!"

Apparently MD had no sacks last night. Wasn't the case when SJB played JSerra, when DJ was jumpy and running from trouble all night.

Chris Street was going to be the 3rd running back at MD getting 7 carries a game max. At JSerra he's getting 20+ playing behind a massive line for a run-first power offense coach (Harlow). Going to JSerra is kinda a no-brainer, eh?

What would you like me to say? We got our asses kicked in every aspect of the game, and there are no excuses.

When I was a little boy and didn't behave, my mother used to tell me that as soon as my father got home from work he would give me an Arschverschlagung. That's exactly what we got last night.

On a side note, the Bosco O-line was very impressive last night, the MD-D could never hardly get to
him even when MD sent the house, they never really rattled the Bosco QB or made him hurry his throws
like last year, thinking the JSerra game will be the gut check on where MD goes from here, not happy
MD lost but the better team won last night, maybe it's just me but MD seemed to be missing
something last night, just can't put a finger on it.

Bosco prepared WAY better for the game than MD and that's a fact, jack...

Did Mater Dei really have chance? Bosco will beat them again CIF finals by at least 3 touchdowns. Amazing, a lot changed in a year.

Mater Dei got very lucky vs IMG. If IMG had any coaching, they would have won by 2 touchdowns. It took a few trick plays, an ejection on IMG, a special teams touchdown called back in order for the Monarchs to win. Getting around 300 yards rushing on that defense isn’t good. How would that defense stop the #1 QB in the country?

The most important thing that I see is that JT Daniels wasn’t there to call the offensive plays. JT is 2 and 0 when calling his own plays vs the Jason Negro Bosco Braves. Coach Money from Mater Dei is about 1 and 8 maybe???? Low output in many of the games.

The 2018 monarch offensive line isn’t as good as everyone thinks they are. The 2017 was one of the best in state history. Missing ST. Brown, JT and last years offensive line was pivotal.

Mater Dei will roll thru the rest of the games. Meet Bosco in the CIF finals and lose again.
