Picks are in. The Fix is that John obtained the sports almanac of high school football via his Delorean

John, my man, is the El Toro v. Saddleback Valley Christian going to be such a blow out that it didn't make your pool list?

Talk to MDD about that one. It looks like there could be a couple others, though.

Thefrog, I try to avoid two factors in picking the 30 games for the week. One is games involving a very weak team, and the other is games that are expected to be blow-outs. There were 43 games to choose from this week, and the El Toro-Saddleback Valley Christian game failed on both requirements and was therefore one of the 13 games that didn't make the cut.

I'm with you on that.

You know, that thought never crossed my mind. 43+ games, insane.

Damn! I forgot to rig last night's scores. We're all tied at 3.

For some reason I'm having to run the calculation 4 or 5 times before it gets the counts right this year. I checked a few and they were all right, but you might want to check your own just to be sure.

Freaking El Modena didn't get me my golden ball.

That knocked me out of the running.

Damn! It's a long season, though. Lots more surprises to come.

If it's any consolation, we all had El Mo. Probably a lot of unhappy fans last night. And some really happy El Do fans.

Sorry Vernster I was shocked watching that score on OCVarsity tweets last night during the game and actually thought the Golden Ball was virtually impossible to drop..., but that is why we play the games. You will bounce back and so will EL OH NO MO!

Geez! I checked MaxPreps' rankings on that game. 117 vs. 467. Sounds like as good a bet as you're going to get. Quite an upset.

Yeah, there were only 32 county games this week, so almost everybody made it in.
