Anybody know anything about the Santa Ana-Aliso Niguel game? MaxPreps has this but it has Aliso Niguel 14-13 in the 3rd quarter.

"The Aliso Niguel (Aliso Viejo, CA) varsity football team lost by double forfeit in Friday's home non-conference game against Santa Ana (CA)."

Final MV 28 VP 13 after scoring with 45sec left

In the final 5 to 7 min to the end of the game I don’t think there was two consecutive plays that did not have a flag thrown on someone. 5 on VP and must have been 20 on MV. At least the personal fouls after the play was over came to a stop in this game. Not one on MV and I think 2 on VP.

Extremely disappointed in MV again. They don't seem to be improving at all. Another double digit penalty night. They need to be out running tomorrow and everyday until they stop having penalties. They are not improving this is 2nd game in a row they were out played in the 2nd half by non D-1 football teams. Was impressed with VP QB I'd like to see him in the MV offense

Servite best Roosevelt tonight. They seem to be better than I expected at 3-0 now. I still think they’re a 5 or 6 team in the trinity but I’d put them ahead of sm right now unfortunately

Very sloppy performance by the Friars. With 5 minutes left to play in the game, Roosevelt was only trailing 13-19, and driving to the potential winning score. Saved by the 4th interception of the game for the Friars.

Offensively inconsistent, and after three games, Servite still hasn't managed a passing TD, although for the second straight game McKibbin did complete a long pass down to the 2 or 3 yd line before the Friars punched it in on the ground.

For the second straight game, four Rushing TDs and a special teams TD. Two missed PATs and a missed FG, but the punts were great, and the kickoffs found the end zone most of the time.

The defense was inconsistent as well, despite the four INTs. Allowed two long pass completions, and had trouble containing the run around the ends.

Great to be 3-0, but winning a league game is still pretty iffy.
Well, obviously we have giant butterflies in CA. They's climbin' in your windows, They's snatchin' your people up, tryin' to steal 'em. So y'all need to hide your kids, hide your stars, and hide your coaches cause they're grabin' everybody out here.

They better clean it up and will need to play better next week against a very good Upland team.

Murrieta Valley loses to Santiago handily and then thumped by Cajon comes out and runs over San Clemente with 28 Q4 points.... I think that is a formidable pre-league schedule for the Tritons but now at 1-3 and giving up alot of points. So what is up at San Clemente --:-- Did they simply schedule "UP" too much like La Habra... :eh?:

Servite is not winning a league game. The current record doesn’t mean much as they played 3 teams that historically should always be beat by Servite. I favor Villa Park to beat them next week by the way. There is simply no talent on that team. The vast majority of starters are underclassmen however so I do think the future is a bit brighter. They badly need playmakers as they have no explosive threats at all on offenses. Thomas often does not show his cards in the pre-League games if last history is any indicator so I am sure we will see a few wrinkles in league such as the bone offense. The plan has to be to target the Santa Margarita game to steal a W but even that looks like a big stretch. Everyone else in league will beat them by 4 touchdowns.

The upside is that with the team being so young I think a full offseason of Thomas’ offseason program combined with the talented young frosh team provides some reason to be optimistic in 2019. 2020 is probably the target year to try to actually be competitive in D1 and by that I mean being able to win a playoff game at least.

Has the bar been lowered so far that Servite will "hope" to win 1 playoff game in 2019 or 2020???

Say it ain't so Joe!

Does anyone know the status of the injured LB for next week?

Stop looking at the W/L as 2 of those losses came with SC in the lead with one min left in the game . Sounds more like playing right at your level of play. If San Clemente had made one more defensive stop or just recovered an onside kick SC wins those games. That would make them 3-1 and the loss last night they had the lead in the 4th qtr before it fell apart.

Again does not sound like SC scheduled "up". And lastly, how does a Div 1 team schedule "UP" when you are not playing teams that before the games were either ranked below you or could be said that they were close enough in the rankings to call it "on the same level of play" compared to La Habra who was playing teams where they were going to be the underdog and playing teams who are a above them in Divisions and rankings?

just a thought...lol...
