Once again, THIS is what I responded to:
Sixth Man wrote:The role players and special teamers at Mater Dei would be stars at most schools in the County. If you made a team out of Mater Dei's 3rd string, you could probably win division 5 or 6.
I didn't say anything about your take on what he meant...

If football pushes to January will the transfer QB Moss ever get into a Monarch uniform? Will he be 19 in March or an early enrollee at SC??
That's a good question since it is well known he would enroll early to USC. Whether Moss plays or not for MD has more to do with him enrolling early at USC than his age. There could be a few other players besides Moss that would also be looking to enroll early at their future college.

If a holdback turns 19 in February for instance, is that player allowed to play any sport at the age of 19? I thought you were ineligible for CIF once you turned 19. Anyone know for sure?

Sorry, my mistake. If you do ever need me to translate English into retard for you again, I have a neighbor who speaks both fluently.

The cut-off date is June 15. If a kid turns 19 after June 15 going into his senior year, he can participate all year. If he turns 19 before June 15, he's toast.

And given the way things are headed, I think it's likely we'll see significantly more this year.

Which would be a huge blow to the elite programs. Not that anyone on this board would shed a tear, of course. The question is, then, will D1-bound seniors move out of state so they can play HS football in the Fall, or will they stay in CA and simply work out individually before heading to their colleges in Jan? This may be the answer to your prayers for parity, my non-MD/SJB friends....if only for a year.

Thanks. From your posts I see he's equally adept at the reverse as well

For a guy who is perpetually on his period, I'm shocked you missed one.

There was a lot of talk about this a couple months ago.......players in Cali considering playing next season in places like Arizona and Texas. But not so much any more. Those states are actually the worst place to be now for COVID.

It'll all depend on a state's transfer rules, but if certain states are playing and kids can start Game 1, gotta believe some elite seniors will make the move.

If they are 4 or 5 stars I think they will pass on senior year and head to college early as planned. Everyone else will probably stay at their current school since the season will happen, it’s just a question of when.
