I've seen both of these kids play since the were young kids. Clarksons son is ok. He has good size and arm strength but is an average athlete at best. Lets see what he does without playing on a stacked squad. Same with Nelson, his dad has surround him with the best players his entire life. He never played against the best players in pop Warner until last year and he was on a stacked squad. He was ok last year nothing great. He is very good 7v7 qb but not all that with the pads on. Bosco wants him to bad but from what I have heard.......they also have their eye on a 2022 QB. Nelson better get better quickly because the QB they are looking at has varsity experience and is a dual threat QB.

Is this kid they are looking at currently in the Trinity League? I think I know who you are talking about, if so. I thought he would be there by now

Who ever this kid is he's not in the Trinity League. The only up and coming underclassmen QB in the Trinity League is Noah Fifita and I doubt he'd go to Bosco. And I wouldn't call Noah a dual threat QB either, at least a true dual threat QB.

Logan Gonzalez from OLU put up big frosh numbers last year and did play a few snaps on varsity. Perhaps he's the mystery player. Can't think of anyone else.

well, I really hope he does end up at Bosco, even though I said already, I feel he can be Bosco's equivalent at QB what JT Daniels was to MD, because I believe JT Daniels was the number 1 youth QB in the nation prior to his High School career at MD

Speaking of Bosco QB, does DJ commit to Clemson today at the spring game?

I believe he did, anyway, hopefully Bosco can get its revenge against MD next season, and hopefully that QB does go to Bosco, or just anywhere besides MD.

Malachi Nelson will enroll and begin his prep career at Bosco this summer after spending his redshirt year leading the Garden Grove Bulldogs to the National Pop Warner Super Bowl in Florida.

The Anaheim native, who turned 15 on the day of the 14 and under Pop Warner Championship in December, comes to Bellflower after a touted youth football career. Expect him to immediately compete with 2018 Bosco backup Ryan Sheehan for the QB2 position as a redshirt freshman this fall.

Word on the streets is that Malachi is now going to Los Alamitos!!!

well, preferably I would have loved it if he ended up at Bosco, so that way Bosco could have their version as JT Daniels, but anywhere besides MD is the next best thing. I doubt he will win a National Title at Los Al, a CIF and State title sure, but National Title unlikely, Los Al has never really been in the National rankings.

Los Alamitos (13-0-1) was #7 in the nation according to USA Today in 2002. PrepNation had them at #9.
Well, obviously we have giant butterflies in CA. They's climbin' in your windows, They's snatchin' your people up, tryin' to steal 'em. So y'all need to hide your kids, hide your stars, and hide your coaches cause they're grabin' everybody out here.

Not surprised Malachi is transferring, if true. Lachlan Rosmalen has had a very good spring ball camp. He's impressed the hell out of me. Maybe that freaked him out.

transferring, you mean, is he already a freshman at Bosco? or has he still not entered high school yet?

Wait, Clarkson is going to Bosco now? Wasn't he headed to Alemany?

..if Clarkson does in fact go to Bosco, his dad will also be on the Bosco staff with a higher
stipend then the other Bosco assistants.

wow, 2002, that was the last time Los Al won a CIF title in football, they beat MD that year, Los Al had Randy Estes at the time, Jason Forcier was the QB for MD at the time, that Finals loss for MD marked a full decade appearance drought for MD, they wouldn't make the Finals again until the 2012 season, when Scott Prohaska arrived.

I assume there has been a lot of "what-if" speculation, if it wasn't for Randy Estes's off the field issues, specifically, the Weed Bust, Los Al could have repeated as CIF Champs in 2003, and possibly finish either number 1 in the Nation or end up in the Top 5 or Top 3.

Anyway, Nelson or Clarkson, would definetley be a huge, beneficial replacement for DJ at QB for Bosco, just like the transfer of Bryce Young to MD to replace JT at QB was beneficial for MD.

In 2002 I remember Los Al being loaded top 10 in the nation, and needing a fourth quarter
comeback to beat La Habra 24-20. At the PIT! La Habra's offensive line was nasty with Willie Mayrol leading the charge, and big TE Mc Donough rambling through the Los Al D!
Nobody soft playing in that game. A great High school game!
