Lessons from "Downfall"

Post by broman » Wed Oct 16, 2019 5:56 pm

So I watched Downfall on Netflix again..... at least once a month, great movie..

Had a new thought, that relates to our times. Nazi Germany is on the verge of collapse, Hitler is ranting and raving, executing Generals, traitors being hung and many people finally abandoning him. But there was also a group that finally had the chance to move into the inner circle, have the Fuhrer personally praise them, get the next promotion even when death was around the corner...

Every person or group that Trump throws under the bus, the Kurds and General Mattis, his followers feel more valuable to the movement and the cause. A complete willingness to do what it takes to stay in Trumps good graces.
