South Coast and Trinity League Track this Friday Night

Post by kingspeed » Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:52 am

Trabuco Hills high school will host the "South Coast Classic" this Friday evening featuring teams from the South Coast League and Trinity Leagues. Trabuco Hills, Dana Hills, Capo Valley, Tesoro, SM MD, Bosco and OLU

This is always a nice preview of championships later to be determined.

MD has a few more footballers running this spring and already has the number 1 time in the state in the 4x100. However, Bosco with Rayshon Luke with others are always right there. Rayshon in the fastest freshman in CA history with a 10.55 100 meters last year.

Trabuco also have some good sprinters and will be in the mix as does SM. Distance races and field events will also produce top state times and marks

If you like speed and competition I would recommend to come to view. Meet starts at 5 with the 3200 and 4x1 relay at 5:30. This is a varsity only meet.

FWIW, Capo and Tesoro are not in the SCL. A few of the SCL schools have zero interest in doing anything that would help promote the Trinity and so likely weren't going to participate (MV, ET and Aliso are the 3 missing there...)

You are correct hence why it is now called the South Coast Classic
Note also no JSERRA, Servite, or Rosary.

It was initially SCL V Trinity and scored but the above noted Trinity schools did not participate which meant it did not work in the format that was hoped. Still a very good meet. Iron sharpens Iron :D
