If you’ve not seen it yet, Don’t Look Up on Netflix is worth a looksie.
It’s a satirical film on our [lack of] attention or willingness to fight what can harm us. It holds a mirror to our society, the media, and especially our ADD when it comes to the really important things we face on this planet. Trump supporters may find themselves attacked in part because the “don’t look up” crowd is the “lock her up” crowd. There are many jabs and similarities throughout the film. You can equate many characters in the film to real life figures, like Elon Musk, and Don Jr. There’s even a little Bernie cameo. It’s a dark comedy but a fun film.
I’m finding that the critics of the film are like “a general would never charge for snacks” (you won’t get that unless you watch the film).
Leo Decaprio does a great job in this one. Oscar worthy I think.
