And they are .500 and are ranked behind O'Lu...
What gives?
It is not as though O'Lu has Servites' SoS to hang their hats on...
Probably because their 2 wins are also against out of county teams and are hard to measure for a group that covers OC exclusively.

If those are the voters and that's their opinion then they obviously believe that OLU is better than Tustin even with Wilkerson, and they consider Tustin a top 15 team. OLU has yet to lose to a county team yet, once league happens it will sort itself out so I'm not really sure what the b!tching is all about at this point.
I wouldn't call it bitching..just conversation..
Do you honestly think Olu would've stopped Wilkerson?
BTW...I would trust what you think more than Fryer

Espy has yet to lose to an OC team and has a better winning % then O'Lu ...

Esperanza

Record 2-2
Calcraps SoCal Rank #52
SoS 35.4

Orange Lutheran

Record 1-3
Calcraps SoCal Rank #61
SoS 40.8

They'd have slowed him down, especially had Gilliland played the entire game. He wasn't exactly overpowering in last year's game (albeit he was still nursing a leg injury).
I think if Gilliland and Wilkerson both play the entire game, the final score would have ended up largely the same. Tustin's offense didn't get going until Gilliland left.

Like I said, they have yet to beat an OC team either, so there is no measuring stick against other county teams.

Worst argument ever...
O'Lu has played one more OC team then Espy has...
And that is reason enough to rank them ahead of Espy?
Narbonne has two wins over 1-3 South Gate-South East (ok that name is confusing) and 1-3 Orange Lutheran...

That win is more impressive then Espy's two wins?

What is his injury again?

One win over Tustin does not excuse the fact that O'Lu is 1-3 IMO....
O'Lus SoS does not excuse being 1-3...
Sorry.

In county, out of county, 2-2, 1-3. It's all B.S. You should rank a team #X because you think they can beat the teams ranked lower than X. That's it.

That is way subjective....
IMO SoS, winning % is enough objective facts to go on...

ligaments & tendents in his ankle were sort of popping out. Had a walking cast on at the REV game and a soft air cart at the Narbonne game. He said he's coming along good. Did run last week but not at full strenght. Will be back for the MD game for sure.

Sounds like that old ifs, buts, aunts and nuts analogy. If Mater Dei had Victor Blackwell, they might have beaten Carson. If he had been healthy, they might have beaten Edison. If they had Chris Ward in overtime against Edison, they might still be playing. If they had that one starting linebacker who still hasn't suited up, they might be undefeated. Injuries are part of the game, and everyone has them. They make for interesting what-if theories, but poor excuses.

You are talking about your QB and Middle Linebacker. Two of a few seniors on this squad. You cannot compare to a wide receiver nor a tailback. Both positions are the the heart of their unit. I don't see any excuses, anyway, just some comments and opinions about what might have happened.
